You little stalker!
My thoughts in green.

The same goes for t11 and most of the other big magic retailers.

Dude i was just using those quotes as example of what E haters would say. I would never say any of those things myself.

As for Morgician, its all cool. i was never really a good arguer (it's funny how my friends always say i should join the debate team). I just wanted to try to stop the bashing cuz i see it everyday and its annoying.

two words on Ellusionist..

Hey guys - before I get an onslaught of - SHUT UP MORGICIAN - ELLUSIONIST ROCKS - realize that I was only getting Shadowmagic's to rephrase his logic, I agree that there is no need to bash a site...really, Ellusionist does it's thing and it doesn't effect me one way or another. As, the things he stated were true, I just was unclear of his goals - and I will PM Gustov about his request on mis-education...and incluse a TONNE of hyphens

Gustav, by the way - everyone gets it wrong

No! Hyphens are the bane of my humanity!

I only have 1 thing against Ellusionist - The Shipping Price (International).
Theory11 ships in less than $10
WayneHouchin.com ships around $5
Sandersfx.com ships at $5.50
PaperCraneProductions ships around $6

I still don't get why E ships at $45 for a 1-3 days delivery, when all that i mentioned above ships much cheaper for the same length of days.

What are you talking about, thats T11 not E.
T11 4-7 days 5.45
2-4 days 22.00
E 1-5 days 7.00

Easily beats T11, that's why I usually go to a different place to get my T11 stuff is because (no offense) T11 shipping prices suck bad and I live only like five hours away.

I bought the most "unpractical" thing from Ellusionist... Yeah, you guessed it, it's "Mercury Aces"... And even beside that it looks very unpractical, i perform it regularly, and people just don't have a clue... And with just a tinny little move, you end up clean, and throw their suspicions out the window...

So yeah, their products may look impractical to us, but if you do them in the right time, for the right audience (in case of Mercury Aces, not in front of a heckler), they will be amazed...

little off topic: i usually combine Mercury Aces with Asher Twist, and it looks like this: "Asher Twist" with the 4 kings, then i throw in a line "you want to see that again? Ok i will do it even slower this time, so watch my hands carefully", and go into the Mercury Aces, and at the end, im left clean, with 4 kings changed into 4 aces...

Edit: Oh, and one more thing, practicality of a trick is really individual... Example: Mercury Aces is more practical to me, then Digital Dissolve, because im not from USA, and i cant use the gimmick... Know what i mean?

Where would you be? Better off - I have had to "re-educate" the students from the Christian school of sucking - so, this I have an opinion on. I didn't learn from Brad - actually, most magicians I meet that do learn from these beginner tapes THANK god that they found another path to learn from...as they saw how they were being directed...into the land of mis-education and second hand info.

Would you care to elaborate on these extremely arrogant words?

Some genuine examples of 'Re-Education' would suffice.

"The E community is filled with noobs! They ruin magicians' reputation! They rarely ever practice their tricks!"

This is probably the main reason for Ellusionist bashing. People believe that Ellusionist followers are noobs and never practice. While it may be true that some beginner magicians don't practice their tricks, its not are business to criticize them about it. So some kids are performing magic badly, big deal. Why does that affect you? If they perform badly, they only make themselves look bad, not magicians in general.

Every thing you said I agreed with acept for this part here. When a kid performs a trick badly it does affect me. If you want to become a magician you must practice, these kids think they can learn a trick and then perform it, that makes me upset because I spend all this time practicing and then 1 kid learns a trick puts it on youtube for the whole world to figure out. That is why when kids dont practice magic it affects me.

I could really care less about what others think about ellusionist, because most of their reasons are bias and hypocritical, same goes for E lovers, so I will just state my own opinion... with hopes that no one will try to pick a fight, because that really isn't what this topic is about.

E isn't the greatest place ever, they don't sell top of the line tricks and they don't seem to really care about the people with little money to spend, with the price of some of their illusions....some of which aren't that great.

I don't even visit the E forums.... why, because you really can't speak your full mind about the products. I love E's idea, and what they have done for magic in general, but they could have done it in a much better way where they only put out great great products....Much like T11.[Don't get me wrong, Not everything is perfect here, but at least you know that your getting something that you know has been though serious testing.]

Many of the things wrong with E is that the fans blindly purchase the trick of the month, not fitting their own style, and not practicing the trick they got last month. For my Trilogy was enough to last me a year at least... but I've only learned a couple things off of it, so I didn't swamp myself.I've learned 7 things off that set, which I still like to practice and change to better fit my style.

At one point I fell into this trend of purchasing all new things that come out, and not giving them the practice they deserve.Buying tattoo Joe, Flow,Sleeping queen, Extreme Burn, and Bent Slink Touch all at the same time.... Most were great[Except tattoo Joe which I thought was utter crap. it kind of fit's in with the not practical part of the OP's post.]
I didn't give them the time they deserve, which is why I really dislike their holiday Giveaways, which promote this type of behavior.

This is why whenever I buy in bulk, I only open one thing, in fact I still have not even opened my Ultra Gaff set, after a couple months.

I don't even go to E much any more because I don't like them, but you don't ever see me say E sucks.

The way I see it, if you don't like the place don't go their, just don't go around saying that this place sucks when you are guilty of going their at one point.

If you jump from trick to trick without learning the stuff well, that is absolutely, 100%, undebatable-y, your fault. You can't put any blame on anyone besides yourself for not having the self control to learn it well.
I understand your opinion, but disagree that it's all your fault when they put up such tempting bargains, but they actually promote doing this.Which was my whole point. I've been working as a semi-professional magician for about 4 years now, and even I fell into this with some of my first orders from ellusionist. It's not hard to do with how they market these products to us. Many of the fan boy's their I'm sure will get both Tagged, even though it may not fit their style, which is my whole reason for not liking them.

It would be very easy for any beginner who doesn't know any better to get absorbed into this trend.... which was my point.

A beginner is bound to fall into this trap one way or another, and trying to sell stuff doesn't mean that E is causing people to do that. What do you want them to do, stop making quality products? Stop giving away free stuff? Put a limit on how much you can buy at one time?

im not a complete beginner in magic, im kinda in the middle stage, as i am still learning some sleights, and i was recommended to the ninja dvd. but based off this information, ur saying asking for it for christmas would be a bad idea? and i should ask for a beter product? so what would you reccomend for some one of my skill level?

I don't own it, but I've heard nothing but rave about how great it is from just about everybody so you had best not listen to a single bad opinion. I suggest that you look for review here on t11, on E, and some other sites rather than basing your decision on just one or two opinions since this is such a controversial topic.

No, i would suggest Born to Perform by Oz Pearlman (on Penguin Magic). Ninja is really rushed. But if you dont mind having to watch it over and over than it would be a great choice.
