Maybe I'm being over-analytical, but I personally think Dan's technique seems a little... messy. I contemplated keeping this to myself, but I'm not sure if he was the most qualified choice to teach card manipulations. I've seen much better. I know they're of completely different styles and backgrounds, but Lance Burton and Jeff McBride's sleight-of-hand do look more elegant and magical. I admit and apologize, I'm looking at this directly through the eyes of a magician-- but I don't think Dan makes card manipulation look artistic at all. He makes it look like meager backpalming and finger-flicking.
Although I don't personally own them, I know that Jeff McBride has a set on similar card manipulation. It's hailed as a definitive course on the subject, and if you've seen him perform manipulations live, I'm sure you can spot a major difference in quality. Many performers ranging from Michael Ammar to Eugene Burger recommend the set, so I think it's a safe supplement to what T-11 is offering in case you want some additional resources.
I can personally recommend the old card manipulation books written by Jean Hugard. They're admittedly very dry and probably won't suit those who learn better from DVDs, but for those of you with patience and determination, I'm sure you'll pick up some intangible qualities not offered in video instruction.
Granted, this opinion is solely based off what was seen on the demo. That may be unfair. I can't speak for Dan's teaching abilities, but I do express a quiet concern in the possibility of teaching sloppy technique. If it's not the case, it's not the case-- and I apologize sincerely ahead of time. I've offered some quality feedback and additional resources for anyone interested anyway.
