Yeah it's kind like spam all over now. It's gone down hill so much so quickly.

I have to admit it helped me in the beginning but other than a few wise posts from Draven or Steer (who has left) that we get so rarely, there's not much I get out of here.
    C
Yeah. Those people are products of the way the community is going.

    That's very true. Great quote.

Yeah. It's kind of nice to be away from the community for even a short span of time. It's amazing how much you realize you don't need it lol.

Yeah and it's the perfect set-up (for companies) to sell things because we're so easily swooned by "completely impromptu" and "no set-up" stuff. I mean, I seriously have enough magic stuff to perform. At least I still have my creativity. That's where I get most of my stuff. And the best part is that it's free. haha. The markets think otherwise. lol
    C
Yay someone who gets it. It's turned into a market of it's own. What ever happened to entertaining people? Now it's like a direct sell to the magician. kinda sad
    C
    Haha yeah remember Pressure? LOL

    Yeps.
    C
lol. Don't hype it up too much. It's a reliable, workable approach to many effects....with a ton of applications covered in the ebook. lol

I got it directly from Ben himself. If you get your copy without Jamie's little manuscript just email Ben and he'll send it to you.
    C
Haha it's still your choice. You don't HAVE to buy it if you don't want. lol
I've just had a good experience with it and it would be cool if we could collaborate on ideas on stuff.
    C
Yeah, there's lots of ways you can take this.

True, but I don't think there's a method out there that's as clean and still practical as this. I think we're always trying to look for the perfect method like with any card freely named, not touching the deck at all, and it appears anywhere. If it's anything less than that, it's easy to think (as magicians) that it's not a good method. CR's is not real magic, but it creates a very powerful effect on laypeople. This is been the only thing I've been using lately and it absolutely floors people.
As for people noticing something with the deck, I've not had any problems with that so far. Psychologically, people will never notice anything unless they know exactly what to look for. Even so, I perform the card to pocket variation without any deck at all much more frequently. That's why I consider the deck as a sort of "add-on".

Well in a sense it is, but it's still very different from a direct force. It's really difficult to explain without revealing and even so, you get so much more in the ebook.
It's not for everyone, but I've been using this a lot and feel I got my money's worth.
    C
Yeah of course. The card that's been decided upon is the exact card revealed at the end. That works all the time without fail.

Not really the way you're probably thinking of it. It's not a psychological force but if I explained what I meant by a hit I'd have to explain the basic method lol.
Btw, I came up with a version of the ACAAN effect using this concept. It's completely impromptu and requires absolutely no set-up. Just one deck of unprepared cards. I freaking love this thing.
    C
That's awesome. That makes sense with the red text. lol
    C
    Haha ok.
It sounds like a leader of Hell or firery abyss or something. lol
    C
Haha. Yeah well I've been definitely having a lot of fun with it.

Very cool sounding. Does it have any particular meaning?
    C
It's kind of hard to answer that too but it is not a duplicate sitting on the table. If you get a "hit" there's no slight's involved and the spectator can turn it over. The other times it appears as if nothing has been done to the card, just you picking it up and showing it to be the selection. But that's just Dee's version. It's worth it to buy this because of all the possibilities.

I've been recently working on another version based off the Crossroads principle. You start by showing an empty card wallet and setting it down on the table. A normal deck (not CR) is examined and shuffled. A number is named, then a suit is decided upon. They're added together to create a card. Spectator looks or counts though the deck and finds 51 with their selection missing. Card wallet is opened to reveal a card behind one of the clear plastic sleeves. It's removed and shown to be the thought of card.
