    I would agree that The Prestige is probably the best magic movie. The history channel Houdini special was entertaining (if not entirely accurate). Another documentary that hasn't been mentioned yet is one that's coming out this year: It's about Richard Turner and looks really interesting :D

    I don't think you need to perform to be considered a magician. The definition of magician is: "A person who performs magic tricks for entertainment." but another definition is: "A person with exceptional skill in a particular area." So you can be skillful in magic and not perform it but still...

    Oni Cut by Brett Hurley is probably the best :D I'd also suggest Turbine by Andrei Jikh which is a really fun and easy move to do. If you're looking for tricks, some great ones are Turnstyle by James Davies, FanTABulous by Tom Elderfield or any of the rubber band tricks by Joe Rindfleisch
