Small little video I made on my MacBook

Yeah, I actually ignored the bill switch for a while until I was reading through 'The Magic of Michael Ammar' and found his essay on it. Thanks for everyones thoughts, the 4 card switch was just something I was messing around with and decided to throw it in.

    I need some help.

Hey Blake, Cards As Weapons by Ricky Jay might be a nice investment. There is a book that not a lot of people talk about that has some gems in it. David Copperfield used. There's a lot of fresh ideas, and I want to be selfish and keep it to myself. PM me if you want the name of it.

Thanks formula, Not going to lie, I was a little scared to see you comment on here. Although, you're one of the few opinions on here I respect.

Small little video I made on my MacBook

Hey guys, Haven't posted a video in a while, thought I might show a couple things I'm working on. It's hard to fool this stupid camera, but I think it looks acceptable. Let me know what you all think! -Robert http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBpXkO4t3Bg&feature=player_embedded#at=13

Good and 'easy' Stage Magic Tricks

Andrew Mayne has some great illusions you can buy and build yourself. How much are you willing to spend?

    How Did You Find Theory11?

My brother told me to check it out after buying a pack of guardians from Wal-Mart. My life has never been the same.

    Magic Books

Also, so you know, 'Card Fictions' has 7 Effects, and it is 90 pages long. Like I said before, I enjoyed the book and seeing Pit's thinking behind the effects and psychology. As for the effects, they just didn't fit my style (other than Finger Flicker which I tweaked).

    Magic Books

That is also the list I've referred to many times when purchasing books. My recommendation would be: The Magic of Michael Ammar, Totally Out of Control, and Close-Up Card Magic by Harry Lorayne. The only reason I (personally) would pass up Card Fictions for right now is it's a lot of table...

    Magic Books

Personally, I wouldn't buy 'Card Fictions' by Pit Harling. I've bought it (mainly for Finger Flicker) and enjoyed it, but there are better books out there. What books do you own/have read already? -Robert

    What are your other hobbies?

I'm a Music Education major, so I play ALL instruments to an extent. My concentration being in percussion. I'm also a film major, so hopefully I'll be a 'Triple Threat' being able to write original music and film/edit/produce everything on my own. Although magic isn't really my hobby as much...

Short Film - "Believe In Magic"

I liked the first few shots, didn't like the music, didn't like the 'over the shoulder' angle while you were doing color changes. You titled it 'believe in magic' but almost everything I saw (sans the color changes) had to do with gambling. Gambling does not equal magic, and magic does not...

    America's Got Talent WHAATTT?!?

I don't find David as just a "Layperson's" magician. You must really know a lot of effects, and read a lot of material to know how every one of his effects are done. I would agree with you, that his effects are simple and hard hitting.. with his first 2 specials. After those he really stepped up...

    America's Got Talent WHAATTT?!?

You make me lol. Are you seriously trying to compare 'Fantastic Fig' to David Blaine? Also, I don't know what you mean by the 'average' person. Actually, maybe you're right. David Blaine is so un-entertaining that he has had multiple specials on television displaying his dull presence and magic...

    Best haunted deck (Impromptu)

Already mentioned - Derren Brown's solution to the problem is a very simple haunted deck. It's described in 'Pure Effect' under his 3 Card Routine. You can send me a PM if you have any questions about it.
