    We All Lie

Zac I agree with you for the most part, your prices really need to fit your demographic and your location. I live in San Diego, there are really nice places and really poor places around. There's a chain of restaurants called Nico's in my area, and where I live, it's about $5.00 for a bean and...

    A little petition

when they launched the wire but didn't open up submissions they opened up the door for "Would you buy this on the wire?" threads. Dear lord.

    Art Is Dead

I wonder if magicians even see themselves as artists anymore, what does being an artist mean to people who perform mainly other people's material? Does performing original material make you more of an "artist" than another magician? Why? Why aren't more magicians humble? Is our job as...

    Art Is Dead

If you don't know Bo Burnham, you should. Here's a song he wrote about art, and being a comic. It's just as easily applied to magic and it's direction recently. Just listen and tell me what you think and how you relate it to magic and being a magician or hobbiest or flourisher etc etc Art is...

We're waiting just as long for the Wire to work as we did to have it announced..

Would you buy this on the WIRE

I agree with Josh, the moves aren't original, and the application is just "OK" at best. Keep trying though - I found myself asking "Why?" at the end of the effects.

    The WIRE

From the way it's described it seems like you upload the finished product and then they approve it. It said that once it's approved (within 72 hours) then at that point you can set a release date and a price. It doesn't say anything about it being re-submit-able from that point.

    Creating Magic

I'm don't think it's what you meant, but it sounds like you create magic just so other magicians can use the moves and effects? Isn't that what paid gigs are for? Getting something back for you effort? You don't deserve to get paid for the things you come up with, people deem your ideas...

    Creating Magic

Hey Rob, hopefully I'll get in this thread before it fills up with huge posts that nobody reads. People are talking bad about creating magic because it seems like the direction and point of magic has shifted dramatically. With people like Blake, Calen and Patrick (no smack talk here, they're...

    Confessions

I don't present magic as "magic" to anyone. I hate mentalists that have no technical skill I can't stand cocky magicians/mentalists I spend way too much time on the art, I lost a girlfriend over it recently I believe that if you have a poor sense of humor or take yourself too seriously you're in...

    If An Octopus Could Palm..

Casey is right, actually there's only a few hundred even printed haha. With that said the price tag is a little high if you don't think you're going to use any of the material, and I'd say only a couple ideas in the book are truly workable sleights.

    If An Octopus Could Palm..

Good question, this book is meant for those with a pretty solid background in palming. I'd say if you don't feel comfortable with palming with both hands that this may be a tad out of your league. Not saying that it's impossible, as you're not required to do a whole ton from the palm...

I don't think I'm going to open them- im not a huge fan of the back design so I might sell them to someone who wants to keep theirs sealed but also have an open pack

    If An Octopus Could Palm..

This review may be brief, but it will be honest. That much I can promise. The book is only about 80 pages, however it's almost children's book sized, but I believe that was the intent once you get a good look at the cover and the little octopus illustrations on some of the pages. The book...
