    Eric Jones working with theory11?

Matty, I know it hasn't really been 'announced', but he has done a photo shoot with T11 so far, and I'd imagine possibly shot some 1-on-1s too.

    Eric Jones working with theory11?

Yea, he doesn't have a lot of stuff out there, but what he does is definitely pretty awesome! Mirage Et Trois is probably one of the best coin routines I've seen that ranks in practicality and made for the real worker. I've already ordered it directly from Eric, and hope to have it in a few days. :)

    Eric Jones working with theory11?

Hey guys...now that it's in the open, just wondering if anyone from here can shed some light on what's going on with Eric and possibly some new 1-on-1 downloads? Possibly a new dvd or trick? I'm a big fan of his work, and can actually call him a friend. Aside from being a great entertainer...

Making a profit only seems like magic... -- News Story On Me

Yea, neither one of us said that. Not really sure if I like how that sounds, makes me come off as a tad arrogant. Oh well, not too bad. The only thing I didn't like is being described as a guy that does 'card tricks'.... Thanks for the comment! Steve

Making a profit only seems like magic... -- News Story On Me

Hey guys....a few weeks ago a reporter from the Calvert Recorder (local paper in Calvert County) came to interview Reggie and I at Jasper's after I sent her a press release. She was interested in doing a story on us, and here is the end result. Thoughts/comments very much appreciated! Steve...

Appearance On Local TV. Any Suggestions?

Keep in mind that some of these tricks people are listing, may very well have certain clauses attached when you purchase them. I.E. Do not perform on television! They're known as t.v. rights, and best to make sure you have those before you go ahead. Maybe shoot the creator a friendly email and...

Appearance On Local TV. Any Suggestions?

WE HAVE A WINNER FOLKS!! Performing on TV is different than just an average audience...you have to do something that is visual, isn't in depth, and is practically fail proof. Anything mentalism, toss out. Unless you can really sell it on tv, which is pretty hard, better to leave well enough...

    Need Inspiration

Hmm...when I'm normally bored with magic, I tend to go to a lecture and that definitely helps to rejuvenate my interest in magic. There is a Justin Miller lecture coming up on March 12 in Owing Mills, MD. It's at THE MAGIC WAREHOUSE. I've already reserved my seats; should be a blast! :)

    Hard time for working magicians...

Personally, I think even $100 is cheap. Nowadays, I won't do anything for less than $200 minimum. $250/300 seems to be an average number for me, and no I don't mind putting my rates out there. Honestly, you do have to work up to the higher rates, but $25/hour for private events is just ludicris...

    Hard time for working magicians...

I'm with Bizarro; the work is definitely out there. The problem is (if you can call it a problem), you have to know where to look. But no, I don't think this is a hard time for working magicians. I think it's average to be honest, nothing great but nothing bad. My restaurant gig is going well...

    If I'm not mistaken...

Funny you should say that, when most of the members at Ellusionist are also members here. You make it sound like E is subpar that of T11?? I can't say I'm surprised though that Aaron is releasing a new product with Ellusionist. They're a good company, and definitely know how to market their...

    Making my own magic website

Just to chime in here one more time... I don't care if you have the best website in the world. All the html and flash and you paid $10k for it. If you don't have anything to back it up with and the content sucks, it will get you no where. My site isn't that great, it's okay, but nothing...

    Making my own magic website

I used to use freewebs...not bad to build a good looking site, and it was free. I simply paid $10/year for a domain name and it was good. Just something to help 'seal the deal' IMO. Now I use homestead for my site builder. $60/year, still pretty cheap and easy to use. For me, my site is a...

    Routining for a Restaurant.

Now you're just shooting yourself in the foot. I thought you had some magic buddies that will help you with that sorta thing? Look, I realize I sound like an ******* on here, but I'm really trying to help you. I'm just not going to sugar coat everything to make sure I don't hurt your feelings...

    Routining for a Restaurant.

Then why don't you ask them for help with the routing aspect as well? Look, I'm not here to be a dick or shoot down your dreams...you'll do that anyways if you don't do your homework. I'm young, I've worked a few restaurants, 2 long term gigs as of now, and in regards to your situation...

    Routining for a Restaurant.

Wow...sorry to say, chances are you won't get the gig then with those sorts of questions. You're looking at this all entirely wrong. You're focusing on the magic, and not the business aspect. The key to getting a restaurant gig is not so much focusing on the magic, but more how you can help...

I want to create 2 different close up routines:

Well, I don't know about all those tricks you posted, but here are a few things to keep in mind when creating a new routine. 1. Time. You want to go long enough to establish yourself and build interest, but not too long to where whatever you do starts to seem repetitive and you lose interest...
