    Best Slipshot Method

I'd go with 2 also. Very direct, looks the best, etc. But I do revert to method 1 if I'm trying to shoot out multiple cards.

    How Big?

Eight inches high by nine inches across (that is, a 9-inch pinky-thumbspan).

theory11 special announcement - An All New 1-on-1 Section

One thing I've noticed so far is that for each video it says "by [category]," (so like "Cookie Cutter by General Magic,") rather than by Dan Sperry...

theory11 special announcement - An All New 1-on-1 Section

Beautiful, functional, what more could I ask for? (maybe a pony?)

I know I sound like a broken record, but I really want some work on shuffle stacking, specifically with a riffle shuffle, as well as some card mucking and maybe a center deal. Next week...

    Final Cut Pro Test

Hey, look at this cool post I just found and that I am not ignoring. So, to the best of knowledge, Final Cut Pro works really well around different video formats, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. The program itself isn't too difficult to pick up--you just kind of need to memorize...

    Final Cut Pro Test

Yeah, I'm pretty much teaching myself everything, hotkeys, techniques, etc. It starts to become intuitive after a while, I guess, though it starts out not that way. And you might say I'm fairly serious about editing--I am trying to get a degree in Film and Video production after all...

True Astonishments - Pros and Cons

Hey, this is awesome, man. Thanks for posting this. Exactly the kind of things I like to know.

    Share Your Routines

Hm, I usually wake up at about 9:00 and brush my teeth. Then I'll grab a bite to eat and depending on whether or not I have class before 12:00, I'll check my mail at the Campus Center. Oh, wait, my magic routine? Depends on what I've been talking to my spectator about. Depends on what he...

    Have You Noticed?

Yes. I have. And it does bother me. Take a person like Ricky Jay, who is arguably the best sleight of hand artist period. He has never released a single trick or a set of lecture notes--nothing. Obviously he's made major strides in terms of his mastery of the art, but he's published...

    World Magic Seminar :: 2009

I was almost really happy because it looked like it said New Orleans. But it didn't. So I remain sad.

    What's With the "Kewl" Titles?

That's actually how one makes people think one is a dick. If you were to say that people think more when they're outside their comfort zone, then I'd agree with you...

    Didn't really like andthensome.

You mean to use the word "sense," I believe... Point taken, but the fact remains that I will use the majority of the material on the DVD (stuff that I probably would never have thought of myself), so in my eyes, it's priceless. Or at least worth 35 bucks.

    Didn't really like andthensome.

I mean, I get exactly where you're coming from, but the way I see it is that these are very good leftovers from like a five-star restaurant that I would gladly eat for lunch the next day. Just sayin'.

    Is True Astonishments worth it?

E did not make this. Believe it or not, Ellusionist is not the end-all be-all of magic. Paul Harris has been around since the 70's and is perhaps the leading creator in closeup magic and has literally reinvented the genre as we know it. Allow me to recommend that you ignore E for a while...

    Real magic or fake magic?

I am always very direct to my spectators that there is no "real magic." However, I lie about everything else. How did I manage to cause them to separate the reds and blacks from a shuffled deck? By using psychology, of course.

    What's With the "Kewl" Titles?

    Aaaah! The deck is gone!
