Til Death Do Us Part by Jim Critchlow - my review

I don't believe that there are any performance videos out there. There is a trailer for the effect but that shows you next to nothing. Hopefully this might be updated in days to come. Peace, Rev.

    Daniel Madison Products?

I've said it before and I will say it again. 'Identity' is without a doubt the best purchase from DM and possibly the best ebook purchase that I have ever made. I do own 'Collateral' but didn't really think much of the material (my personal opinion/style). The effects in 'ID' are: - Very...

    Where to go from here?

I know you're looking for 'powerful effects' but what will take your magic to the next level is performing and presenting it. Seriously, once you learn how to make a so-called 'average' trick into a powerful effect, you on your way. There will always be tricks out there that you want to learn...

    Daniel Madison Stuff

Hands down, my favourite thing on the site would have to be 'Identity'. It is a brilliant ebook and full of real workers (no filler). I have 'Collateral' but don;t perform anything from it and didn't really get much out of it at all. But that's just my personal opinion.

    Revelation?

Yes you could carry around a few envelopes with popular names like 'Michael' or 'John' but I would recommend: a) Doing pre-show and finding out someone's name simply by introducing yourself before the show if you are doing stand-up. b) Overhearing someone's name in a conversation, setting up...

Tagged by Rich Ferguson and Tagged by Rich Sanders

For Tagged by Rich Ferguson: -Is it hard to pull of and does it require a lot of misdirection? Not so much misdirection as balls....big balls. Other than that its pretty much all in the presentation -Does the DVD teach you the book test he uses because I've always been meaning to get my hands...

    Loops

The Million Dollar Knot explanation on Penguin is probably the best out there. And you get a spool of thread that will last you a pretty long time. I'm not sure where else you can learn to tye loops but don't write of the Pet 2.0

Brian Tudor Showoff 3 - Discontinued?

I got this one free through a promo at penguin and I am SO glad that I didn't have to pay for it. TERRIBLE! Maybe MJM were getting complaints or they just realised that it was a terrible DVD.

Think about it... What would you do?

If I had real powers, I would not present myself as a magician; I would say I'm real. This would get me on TV, I'd win James Randi's money, I'd get interviews and live of them for the rest of my life...I might do a bit of magic too.

    Thread for Comedy Magic?

I'm sorry...did I hear that correctly? You're actually likening yourself to Penn and Teller? That, my friend, is ridiculous. Who do you think designed the 'Lift Off' illusion? Do you think it was creators who worked hard on crafting their art? No, actually, it was Penn and Teller. I...

How do you practice your presentations?

What you can do is stick up a few cuttings of eyes from magazines on your wall. Then, go through the patter and present the trick all the while making eye contact with each of the magazine cut outs. When it comes to performing, it will help you to focus on the presentation and on your...

    Thread for Comedy Magic?

Though I agree with everything Chris has said, I have decided to post with a little more tact and just ask a few questions. MagicalTrevor, do you call yourself a magician? Are you really creating an illusion? If you are not a magician...I don't think we can help you here. If your tricks aren't...

What to buy what to buy...

It's a beginner DVD teaching the basics...Jay doesn't need the skill of the masters. He has a solid technique and teaches the foundations VERY well so you can then move on to the 'masters' as you call it like: Ammar, Roth, etc. My recommendation for ITBTWC stands.
