    "Casual Pass" and Clipshift

Not necessarily. Inserting the card, then shuffling the deck means that something happened to the cards. If you, for all intents and purposes, simply inserted the card into the deck, squared it up, and set it on the table, then nothing happened to the cards. Big difference.

Isn't there? So what exactly is your point?

A step back into the classics

If your ACR lasted ~8 minutes, then feel free to construct it how James Brown constructs his multiphase, multi-prop, multi-spectator routine. I have to agree with the D man here.

    My mind is blown

MagicZack, go watch some Derren Brown specials. Seriously. The true mentalists perform effects of which the impossibility reaches far beyond that of an ACAAN. Don't reject it just because you, with your nine months of experience, can't rationalize or think of a way that this couldn't work...

Which cards are worth buying now?

I messaged him about it awhile back: "Are these the old, discontinued arrcos, or are these the new reprints of the line that includes the black/green ones?" the response I received: "These are the new reprints, not the old ones. (The old Arrcos are very tough to find and expensive). These are...

    Forcing a Card

I always attempt to classic force using Shoot Ogawa's theories on the force, but I also have a card ready to be cull forced if the classic force misses.

    Paul Wilson On Demands

If you're a good magician, the moments you're being shown are the only ones your audience will remember.

    You mad, bro ?

Eh, I can usually pick sarcasm, but when it's done with a phrase that is so repetitively used on the internet, I just assume it's someone's attempt at trolling. The boy who cried wolf and all that. Wouldn't that control simply be a tenkai side steal?

    You mad, bro ?

You know that a forum is deteriorating when one of the topic names is "You mad, bro?", with the intent of the magic in the video to apparently create a challenging attitude in your spectators. Not sure what "control" you're talking about, but the switch bears similarity to Kevin Ho's Visa...

What do you guys think about my Triumph?

The way I see it, is that you're creating another conviction, one that the deck is truly mixed face up and face down. The triumph plot has two climaxes, the first being that the deck is straightened out and of course the second one is that the selected card has been found. When both climaxes...

What do you guys think about my Triumph?

That was nice. Handling wise, not much to say, looks fantastic, would easily fly. The only tiny thing that I can comment on is the final reveal. I argue that in a single selection triumph, the cards should, more often than not, be spread face up, with the selection being the only face down...

Yah, chrome's not liking it for me either. I'd love to see it though.

    Business card tricks?

Business cards + out to lunch + frixion pen = Jon Armstrong's "I scream, you scream". Absolutely spectacular effect.

    Classic Pass Question

Depending on the context in which you use the pass, an invisible one may not even be necessary. Since the move takes less than a second, a bit of misdirection coupled with a justifiable reason why your hands should come together should be enough.

First thoughts? Out of the Box Triumph

I'm planning on actually recording some videos of my performances and my sleight demonstrations when this assessment period I'm in finally blows over, and I'm able to work again. I'll let you know when I get them up.

First thoughts? Out of the Box Triumph

I hope you don't strangle your cards like that every time you perform. There's a lot of things bad with this. Too much for me to care enough about to point out all of them.

looking for a useful card technique for stacking selections

-Bluff pass with 4 cards. -Control to the top, do an overhand shuffle with the deck face up and run 4 cards singly to the bottom.

Ideas? Maybe, possibly, hopefully? (Job related frustrations)

I sell magic in a market in my city, and basically, the market mentality (at least at this market) is: "I'm not particularly looking to spend any money today, but if there's something that catches my eye, I will buy it". Basically, you have to get them to impulse buy. You have to make them want...

If you aren't remembered, you are just empty space

At least it's been clarified in this thread. When writing about such a delicate topic, it should be written clearly, lest misunderstandings arise and people misinterpret it. The last paragraph implies different context to the second last paragraph. The use of personal pronouns is very...
