Stage Magic... My Thoughts About Why It's Not That Impressive...

But then you went on and bashed restuarant magic. and then gave like thirty bogus reasons why street magic is "better" than both stage and resturant magic. Sorry, next!

Stage Magic... My Thoughts About Why It's Not That Impressive...

Stage Magic... My Thoughts About Why It's Not That Impressive...

im going to go ahead and put this out there: WHO CARES? Seriously, card or coin magic, boxes, illusions. We are magicians. We are biased in what we like. To some magicians, illusions are more magicial. To others, a deck color change is more magical. But to the laymen, its almost always percieved...

    Coin Books

First few chapters and a few videos on youtube. Before you give more advice, go read the first few chapters of bobo and a few videos on youtube and tell me how, at all, can that define your style at all? And DEPENDING on style, you may want to learn those old routines in bobo, OR, newer routines...

hahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahha....ha. If you dont like something, find something else, or make it your own. But since he is a beginner, he should focus more on figuring out WHAT his style is, not changing routines. Learn the basics, figure out your style, study...

    Coin Books

I can dig that, but with that logic, why not get a book like COINMAGIC by Richard Kaufman or another book that lets him get a sampling of a bunch of different magicians instead of one, so he can use the positive points with each magician to create his own style. Just a thought.

i completely understand, but he already has bobo's. But he should listen to this advice, because it is good. My only thoughts on studying bobo, was for the grips, eh?

How is magic an art and how can you convey that to your audience?

what is art? whatever you want it to be. Art is indivually based, what you think is art, i may not think is art. Understand? i could think the Mona lisa is the most beautiful piece of artwork in the entire world, but you could think its just a painting. Same goes for magic. Some people think...

    I Need Help

I never once said or even thought about saying high schools and adults have nothing to offer. Your right high school is good, a great thing in fact, but when you gum up the system with things such as that teach morals, and religion, without letting kids first decide what they think is right, do...

ok, that was most uncalled for, its only my opinion, you can agree or disagree, i dont much care, you dont live in america, you dont see what its like on a daily basis. Thats not what im saying at all silly goose! Older people are smart and have things to offer, but many older people also...

    Marlo's miracle switch

keeping the unrelated note going for a second, i went a richard turner lecture the other day, and he did an "obivious" double lift, and set the card(s?) back onto the deck facedown and set the card on the table. When asked where it was, an entire unsion of magicians cried out "on top of deck!"...

No i know racism is because of youth too, but its because the youth are so impressionable, if the parents go around stereotyping blacks, asians, or jews, the kids are going to learn by example. I didnt mean to make it sound as such, because your right its not, its about how one nation has...

Voting Open:// Four of a Kind

I see and understand where both of you are coming from, yes harder technique allows for more visual eye candy, but self working tricks allow for strong presentations and it can be just as strong to do a double lift change as an ego change, it just depends on what you want to do. @3aq7, calm...

no, what im saying is i respect those elder magicians that deserve it. Ones that ive seen perform, so that i KNOW that they are not full of bull hockey. And you want to know what they did to this country? they made it seem as if they can take care of the worlds problems, yet they cant even...

agreed. im not right about alot of things, hell im only sixteen, but i do know that i would rather spend the twenty five on paper engine, it will change your views on your slieght of hand magic, maybe. im still studying this book, but it will help you much, i can promise you that.

    I Need Help

look what elders have done to this country though? Just because they are older, does NOT mean they are right. You will probably disagree, but ive seen too many "professional adults" act like childern just to give them respect because of their age and the fact that theyve been "entertaining"...
