    Impromptu Out Of This World?

Personally from a real world stand point, I doubt even if you DID have a deck that was set up in a particular order that anybody would even guess or suggest the idea. Otherwise, Tamariz, Darwin Ortiz or any other guys who use stacked decks would be using them. So if you want, you could easily...

    Impromptu Out Of This World?

Also, Harry Lorayne sounds like that clip from The Critic. "Buy my book! Buy my Book!" Specially when nobody even asked him for his books.

Whats the best and most simple T&R out there?

Depends on whom you ask. I think David Williamson's or Paul Harris's version are very simple and easy to do. Though with Dave's the tearing is pretty much justified and doesn't have to be done in a detailed manner.

impromptu surrounded everyday objects tricks ?

I would say that Crazy mans Hand cuffs is probably one the better routines you can do, because it falls into the category of being easy for the spectator to easily remember later on. And because Michael Ammar and guys like Dan Harlan are still doing it in their professional shows and have been...

impromptu surrounded everyday objects tricks ?

Why would you want to perform surrounded? As far as impromptu goes.. look up rubber band magic. A good majority of it is stuff you can just grab a rubber band and start doing it.

Important question for the hobbyist or worker...

Sometimes you need to let things cook and simmer before working on them again. I would say this depends on the performer/hobbyist. But most Hobbyist now days tend to probably buy a new DVD/book/download a month or two. which is perfectly fine for somebody who just performs/practices for their...

    Top 3 impromptu card effects

Wrong card, right card: whatever method you decide to use.

    Suitable tricks for children?

If you do want to do card magic and things in peoples hands. Then doing volunteer work for a church would be just fine or even just performing at a few local senior centers (the ones where they do activities like BINGO and other active things.).

    Jason England Lecture or foundation?

Most of Jason England material consists on gambling moves. So unless you can do those moves somewhat smoothly, you might end up a little disappointed.

    Suitable tricks for children?

Well you CAN do magic where they touch the props, you will just have to throw it away afterwards. But if you are going to do magic at Children's Hospitals than things like Rubber band magic, and silk magic would work just fine.

    I know nothing about Mentalism...

For right now, just stick with normal sleight of hand magic for awhile. Mentalism in itself isn't for everybody and with your 2 years of knowledge, you most likely wouldn't be able to do it justice. I would say just get Mark Wilson's book and enjoy performing the routines in that book for a good...

How many people here trample their own effects?

IE: You have way too endings to a routine. The card goes here, it goes there, it's torn and restored, now it appears in your pocket, wallet, under a glass, under a shoe. Etc. Michael Ammar's Lecture got me thinking about that and how he mentioned that when he performs now days he's usually...

    I know nothing about Mentalism...

Learn how to use a TT. The main idea is to make it look like you can do magic without having any props on you.

Any street Magicians that can answer this?

You are neglecting to think of the reality of things. If you are constantly performing for the same group of people, then it's fine to constantly change your act and constantly add new material. The problem with that, is that you run the risk of not improving on the current set you are...

Classic Pass - A measure of success

If you perform that way, then you have completely lost the plot when it comes to magic. Just about EVERY smart performer will tell you that's a bad idea to try to do moves when people are looking.

Advice for a Magic Castle Audition.

Also don't think that you are the worst if you don't get in. It's most likely going to be like entering a magic competition. As Michael Ammar would say"It's all really subjective."

Is it possible to create a stage act in 4 months?

Is it possible to create a stage act in 4 months? Yes, but it's going to be a really crappy one. But if you really want to do one, look things like Rope magic and Silk magic.

    A Case for Books

Here's a fun little experiment. Take one or two routines out of Tarbell or any old book from that era, then just change the presentation and watch as you start to notice that a good lot of the people at your local IBM or SAM ring start to think that you are doing "original" magic. Hell, this...

    A Case for Books

I think books are great, but from a selfish stand point. I like that everybody else out there is performing all the super new super cool just released DVD stuff. It makes it easier for me to go back to the old school books and trick them into thinking I created some new routine.

Classic Pass - A measure of success

Nobody has a 100% invisible pass. The REAL trick is learning how to do it under misdirection and the exact moment your hands come together. This is what Erdnase would say and Vernon would agree with him 100%.
