Jeff Prace :: Cancer Fundraising ($3 tricks!)

I'm very excited to announce that my friend Chris Beason has contributed a PDF titled the 21st Century Haunted Pack and it will be included with all donations. This 30 page e-book contains his innovative take on the classic Al Baker effect. Remember, this is included in every donation, no matter...

Jeff Prace :: Cancer Fundraising ($3 tricks!)

Hey guys, Last year, in order to raise money for Relay For Life – an event sponsored by the American Cancer Society – I sold a download of one of my original card tricks. Much to my surprise, it was a smashing success and I raised over double the amount I was aiming for. This year, I step up...

    Panic By Aaron Fisher

I heard from Aaron at a lecture that these will be remade in Mandolin backs. I don't know, though, who will produce it.

    New Effect I Created!

Looked cool! The Tilt (Depth Illusion) looked a little rushed and sloppy. Although not necessary, when using it more than once in a routine, there are a plethora of other "convincers" than the classic Howie Schwartzman move.

What's the Deal with Bending the Real?

I understand Jay's intent. I just think this was a failed attempt. The cap in bottle was actually Eric Lecleric's from the Underground Jam DVD, if I remember correctly.

What's the Deal with Bending the Real?

I'm having trouble believing people are actually saying this DVD was worth it. It's full of unoriginal and impractical "bends." Storm Cloud was perhaps the biggest joke I have ever seen. This disc was TERRIBLE. Not recommended.

    REF4M by Blake Vogt?

I think it looks great! With that said, I remember Mr. Regal - who we can maybe credit for being the creator of the piece by piece restoration sequence - saying that there are two important steps of the plot, and neither can be left out. The first is the visual restoration. The second is giving...

Hybrid :: Key Magic by Jeff Prace

I'll try to get around to it ASAP. Kind of busy to film a live performance, but I can show the alternate ending quickly in my basement or something.

Hybrid :: Key Magic by Jeff Prace

An alternative, possible ending is to link the key back to the key ring. My preference has just always been to "fuse" the two objects together.

Hybrid :: Key Magic by Jeff Prace

Rick, "Killer Key" - to the best of my knowledge - goes earlier than Sankey. Roy Baker's "Key-Boodle" was a marketed trick in the 70s seems to be the earliest source. "Ultimate Coin Ta Key" and a Presley Guitar item came after, but still before Sankey. In regards to the gimmick, I would prefer...

    Chicago Magicians - new workshop!

Hey Chicago-area magicians! I found out Chris Mayhew and Ben Train (both incredible card magicians) will be doing a dual workshop here in Chicago this Saturday night! They will be teaching unpublished Vernon material along with a plethora of other items. It's 3 hours in length and costs only...

Banded is SO cool. Made in very high quality material - unlike a similar effect mentioned above - and looks stunning. It's very creative.

    Magic nickname

Hey guys, I'm participating at an event at my school this year with a bunch of my friends. We form a team, and we each need to think of a nickname. Does anyone have any ideas for a funny/creative nickname for a magician? Any ideas are appreciated! This is a fun event... so not too serious...
