    Making an Effect

I have the same creative process. I came up with most of my stuff when I set a goal in my head. For example, I tried to come up with a bunch of material using the stuff that are ALWAYS in my pockets: my wallet and my cell phone. If I had absolutely nothing else, nothing to borrow, I could still...

I looked through it and so far, it looks very cool. I'll be sure to give you my thoughts later on.

    Making an Effect

I've created a handful. I wouldn't say they're anything revolutionary, but they work for me and are fun to perform. They just happened to pop into my head when I was playing around with a few things. What's your creative process?

Saturday Night Contest - Roundtable with Homer Liwag

What kind of effects are found in The Rice Papers? You used to be regarded as hermit in the magic world (or so I've heard) and lately you've gained more and more recognition. What made you decide to make that leap? If there was one thing you could change about the magic community, what would...

    Favorite Pass / Shift

I am obsessed with the bluff pass and it's many variations.

    Who are you?

The answer should be yourself, but also an exaggerated version of yourself. It's easy to say that you're funny, outgoing and relaxed, but how would you portray that to an audience who has never met you before? It's the patter, the lines that you use, the way you react to the audience, etc. that...

    Earthquake In Chile

There's also the tsunami in Hawaii. This year has been crazy with the natural disasters. I hope everyone is well.

    Submit trick to theory11?

I agree with that as well. TnR, Dangerous and Riot imo absolutely suck.

    Who are you?

That is how I used to go when I first started magic. After seeing David Blaine, i thought that it was what a magician was supposed to be. Magic later gave me the confidence and realization that I should be who I am. I find it it more fun and people enjoy it more.

    Submit trick to theory11?

I gotcha. I was just pointing it out. ;) Your point may not necessarily be true. Perhaps most of the trick submissions that they get are just crap or not up to the standards of what they would want. Alex Pandrea and Tony Chang were relatively unknown within the magic community aside from those...

    Submit trick to theory11?

I believe Ponta's DVD was self produced in Japan. E is just has the exclusive on it in the US.

    Who are you?

My character is who I am on the inside, but let loose. That means that a lot of times I am quiet, keep to myself and look p*ssed when the situation is boring. It's my natural expression. I become outgoing, humorous and say whats on my mind whenever I feel like the situation is fun enough. That...

    G.O.P "Why to perform" essay

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wK2rnz26LUs That is the only video I can contribute at the moment. I hardly ever perform for camera and that is the only video I have of myself. I do however, perform constantly and will try to catch those within the next 2 weeks.

    Arranging cards for next trick

The most commonly used way is culling which is good if you need multiple cards I would say. Another way I've done it is to set up under the action of searching for cards to take out of the deck. For example, tell them that you don't need the jokers and take them out while casually cutting the...

    How to Force Jumbo Cards?

Hey guys. Do any of you have an idea of how to force a card from a jumbo sized deck? Normally I use the riffle force or a cull to force the cards, but they may be too big in this case. Thanks in advance.

    Copying David Stone's Short Videos

It was those bits and gags in between the DVD that were reenacted the exact same way. Slapping the guy to tell him to shut up, a card falling into the potatoes, etc.

Card Control or By Forces Unseen?

I own neither of these books, but from what I've been told from a few friends, Card Control has a wealth of knowledge in terms of technique. The tricks from them are a bit outdated, but it's the technique for intermediate to advanced card handlers that is the main point. The moves are classic...
