    Guardians... no support?!

I honestly don't understand the hostility. Using gaffed cards doesn't mean he has any less skill. You try doing an Anniversary Waltz routine without a double faced card. It's not a bad idea, but probably not going to happen. Doesn't hurt to make a suggestion.

The Real Secrets of David Stone (2010 DVD)

I love David Stone. I'm excited for this. :)

    Name of trick I saw?

There are, I believe, to be many variations of these effects. The ones that come to mind are: http://www.sankeymagic.com/detail.aspx?ID=48365 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bXjby7QRcs

What Do You Use A Double Backer For?

Get a double facer and do the Anniversary Waltz. It's one of those effects that leaves them with an impossible souvenir and they will remember it. :)

A Soon To Be Great Gig!

That's a very cool poster. Good luck and have fun. :)

    Close Up Talent Show

If you're normally a close up magician, then what would be wrong with using your repertoire? Just know how to routine it well. :) EDIT It's also a matter of presentation and how to make it play bigger for the entire audience. I saw this clip yesterday of Joshua Jay and there's a lot to be...

    FIVE - The First Review

Great review. How restricted are you angle-wise with the coin through tic-tac case?

What do you think of Jay Sankey?

I do admire his creativity; I'll give him that much. However, I don't like how he markets variations on earlier effects on his DVDs. His methods are always the same which is fine when he's using them for himself, but not when he's releasing something to the community. What I do like is the...

New 1-on-1 : The Zarrow Shuffle - Jason England

I hardly see this move done well so I'm glad they put this out there. It's an invaluable move and learning from England will prove to be a good resource. Same goes for the double lift.

T11 members:: What magic effects are you performing?

I agree. Unless you're a professional, you don't need a lot of material. The tricks I listed before are the ONLY things I perform. I want to be do it over and over so I can develop them more and more to the point where i know everything about them and know exactly what works and what doesn't.

T11 members:: What magic effects are you performing?

    Rubber Ringer by Bill Kalush

I agree. Your hands were all over the place and I couldn't see a thing.

    The Best Effect Ever?

This is all subjective. Everyone likes different things. Some people may say that a coin vanish is most practical and the best effect in magic but some people who don't like coins may not agree. Any trick that you do done to the best of your abilities can be made into the best effect ever.

    Check this out...

It's funny, but I absolutely hate seeing bad magic. It gives magic a bad image.

A Little Bit of Live Magic

The first effect looked really fishy. When you took out your wallet, your hands were covering it most of the time. I think it was just the camera, but we could barely see a thing. When you did the second trick, you put way too much attention on the card that you placed on the table. You placed...

    Disgrace or Amazingness?

I agree to an extent. Average sleight of hand will get you by in front of spectators. Simplest moves can get you amazing reactions, so no one's technique needs to be outstanding, just decent. Learning the basics well will help you out more than learning the more difficult, flashy moves in the...

    Disgrace or Amazingness?

If he were that good, then there would be no way in the world that he's keeping all these techniques to himself. I doubt he is real or else he'd be the bigges thing in magic right now.
