    Mnemonic

To extend on what AsherF stated earlier the concept of mnemonics is just to add in memorising lists either on a short or long term basis. Applying this to a deck of cards has been around for a long long time, as essentially it is just remembering a list of cards in a known order. There are...

    A Magician's Journal - "Smart" - 30 March

Sounds like a great presentation Luis. If you really want to destroy them next time I would use "The Three Envelope Test" from The Artful Mentalism

    a clean Bill vanish?

It really depends on why you are vanishing the bill. A Himber wallet or double (or Shaxon) envelope might be useful. There are hundreds of ways to vanishing a bill. In Barrie Richardson's handling of the bill in lemon he burns two dollar bills every time he does the trick, so it is not...

    SCAAN - Credits

The plot itself is much older than David Berglas. There are two methods found in greater magic from the mid 1800s (one of which I use to this day) David Berglas just had distinct conditions that made the effect his own. At the end of the Mr. Berglas popularised the effect yet he did not...

    Great Realization!!

I can only echo Craig's advice here although Brad Henderson's The Dance is About 30-40 dollars as it was reprinted 5 years ago. Personally I don't throw intentional misses into my effects, however I throw out things that maybe hits to heighten the overall effect.

    Stage Hypnotism questions

The required credentials are different depending where you live. My advice would be to call a few local hypnothreapists as they will either know what is required or where to point you they probably know a few hypnotists aswell. The single most important question you should ask any hypnotist is...

    Multiple Card Find

Firstly does it have to be five cards, the number itself seems a little forced. Basically my belief is that either everyone should get a card, the effect could feel that everyone gets a card or have a reason to only have a determined number of cards selected. And in each of these scenarios my...

    What should I buy?

By books on presentation, Showmanship for Magicians is like $10 the Fitzkee Trilogy is about $20 a book and Maximum entertainment is $35. These books will help you a lot more done the track rather than any gimmicks or single trick DVD's. If you must have a gimmick or DVD I would suggest...

    Dai Vernon

Triumph, is quite possibly the greatest trick in all of card magic. You would need to do a stand up friendly versions like Dani DaOrtiz's open triumph. At the end of the day, the class is not going to know if Dai Vernon created the trick or even the handling which you use. If you choose to use...

What do you magic supplies do you carry?

There are a few things I will never leave the house without A pen and a small note book, other than that there is absoultly no magic item I need to carry with me. If I am hired to do close up it is ususally a deck of cards and some billets and a few other small things.

"The Jinx Prediction" by Nicholas Siegel

Let me start off by saying I do not known this and the method is obviously hidden within the camera cuts. However looking at your crediting I can assume which two moves you use and teach. Whilst the misdirection is important especially with the Jinx move I think it is the justification which...

It seems like you are paying for a gimmicked bracelet. It also appears that this is an exclusive product. I highly doubt anyone will be able to give you a favorable answer.

    Mentalism Show

Luis you know I consider you a friend and I know you have my favourite book on mentalism. I suggest you reread the act from The Artful Mentalism and look at what makes Mr Cassidy's act so strong. If I was to describe it's strength in one word it would be consistency. Everything he does is...

    Audience Understanding (Part Two)

The reason your audience believed that you messed up is because that is the image you present is that you stuffed up. You told your audience that their card would be the otherway in the middle of the deck. You created an expectation and did not achieve it. Yes the effect has a surprise ending...
