    Making your magic less suspicious.

I see what you mean, but unfortunately that is the problem with coin magic. You have to place it in the other hand for the vanish to take place, however suspicion can arise from anything. I'm not really gonna go into that however. Blowing on the hand is fine depending on the distance. If you...

iTricks - Your favorite release this year?

Whether or not it's a set of tricks it is still my favorite release of the year which is the thread question. Paul Harris is da cooliest.

iTricks - Your favorite release this year?

Harbor Change, nothing else impressed me this year. I guess genesis was cool but I never used it and never will. The best one overall would be TA, I never bought it but if its like the book series then I'm sure it kills.

    Making your magic less suspicious.

Very nice point, and now giving it some thought it seems a very nice concept. However I would like to see how far the misdirection goes, should they be nearly oblivious to what you are presenting. It sounds nice but it's hard to see how such a thing would work out.

    Making your magic less suspicious.

You are probably refererncing to the pass or any incredibly difficult sleight to master and yes that is okay to use misdirection. However always striving for more can only do good things.

All of those going into mentalism.

Ah, I apologize then. Praetoritevong did recommend reusing this post since the original thread got out of hand and well away from topic. However I did not see any of your posts so I apologize for that.

Yeah, I have no clue as to what type of casino it was but it wasn't of course like american casinos, and I have no idea what type they have in australia or if they have any. I'm of course not disagreeing with anything, because I truly don't know all the methods of Derren's effects. I believe...

All of those going into mentalism.

I know I am not the best person to be giving it out, but it seems nobody says it. I may not know as much but I certainly do believe I have reached a critical point in my time in mentalism. Anyways, good advice and I completely agree. However I would still recommend Fundamentals before 13...

All of those going into mentalism.

Indeed, however people can manage with their idle patter in magic. Not saying it's good or even mediocre but some people will still be amazed, however mentalism you will not even scathe by with the same useless chatter between you and your props.

    Making your magic less suspicious.

The one problem with performing magic is the suspicion that several spectators have. Of course many people just go out and perform and suspicion leaves, however there are certain moves, sleights, just random things that the magician may not even think about. Let's talk about each part and...

All of those going into mentalism.

SO many people trying to go into mentalism are going to fail and wonder why. Spending money on a whole bunch of stuff that they will later on never use in life. Well it's because you can't perform it and don't understand it. Now obviously mentalism isn't necessarily to look like magic but to be...

    Going into a different field.

Yeah, I feel the same way but I feel it's just best to continue with how this is going. I'll just make the original post but more focused on what I was really trying to get across. Give us something a bit more specific to talk about.

Well if you are being serious then I would disagree D ICE R. Perhaps he doesn't have a good memory with names and such, but I believe even that is a ruse. He can count the cards in a four deck blackjack game, I think he can remember a few names.

    My New Website

I wouldn't mind a template if it had the same design but a bit more added, still sticking the simplistic feel. Doesn't look bad to me, but I reallllly dislike the K in cardist, it's like mortal kombat overusing the "k" in every word that begins with the letter "c." I would say change it to...

    Going into a different field.

    1) Yes I understand your point of being illogical, however like I said my entire presentation of storytelling makes sense of why it would come back to the top. The entire basis of it allows my card to be face down or face up and placed in the deck. If you have an actual script not dealing with a...

t11.bulletin : THE SNAP CHANGE - Michael Hankins

Nah, it's cool man. I mean it's good for some people just not really something I see myself using. I'm talking about the entire snap change as a whole, because the way it's used I can't make it into any performance. However I saw a ton of potential for the harbor change and I love it more than...

Making a magic effect your own...

The easiest way to make an effect is to fit it to your character and what makes sense. If it fits your character and your style, and successfully fulfills your needs and astonishes spectators then I would say your all set.

Saturday Night Contest - Collective Brainstorm : Round Two

Ian, dude you need to perform the effect not explain it. To many times you were explaining to magicians and not performing it for spectators.

t11.bulletin : THE SNAP CHANGE - Michael Hankins

It's like doing the shapeshifter twice in a row, it fools them right away but the second time they notice something. The thing with the color changes is that it should always catch them off guard, however if they expect it they are looking hard to find what happened.
