I know a friend who did this. He said it helps a lot!
But seriously, the more you practice the more comfortable you will be with a deck of cards and the less you will sweat.
The ghost gaff deck has some great tricks and it gives you the ability to create your own routines. I personally don't like the rising card deck that much I usually do some other type of haunted deck.
That's great advice I totally agree take the trick slow so that they can really appreciate the trick in full. If you are asked to repeat trick simply do another trick that is equally as great.
