    theory11 - GLITCH by daniel+Madison :: RELEASED

That's fair enough and i agree. I didn't say i would perform Glitch or Election or any other 1on1 just because i figured it out. Would you perform your own version of the effect though? Is that unethical?

    Improvising After A Mess Up

You could always fish for the card if you lose track of it. Try guessing the colour, then suit and so on. If done well it shouldn't be suspected.

    Si Stebbins Pro

Tamariz also teaches a way to memorise the entire stack in about 3-4 hours. I still use Si Stebbins sometimes but the Mnemonica has so many features and build-in tricks that it's just a pleasure to perform.

I think if you know the mechanics of the Click change, you can certainly figure out the mechanics for this little change. Not bad i suppose.

    Good Editing

I was gonna mention the good ole montage. Battleship Potemkin is a great example of how to create a seamless piece of film.

    Reset

I don't understand the "hook" in Greg Wilson's routine? What is impressive about placing a jack next to an ace, they were already there. Am i missing something?

    Top shot sandwich routine

    I thought you'd say 45.

    Dynamo The Magician

His coin through table looks amazing. I'm not too big on his style but at least it's HIS and not somebody else's.

    What Happened to the Classics?

I have to agree with has been said. I don't think it is much of a problem though. Everyone who is only thinking about "what's new and visual" will only stay at that level of magic. Same applies to people who disregard books/articles/essays on misdirection and presentation. They will never find...

    Clipshift angles...

I've found that shaking up and down vertically and parallel to your stomach works pretty well. The spectator is looking at the bottom right pip.

    Stacking under surveillance

Do a simple card selection and peek the card. Let them shuffle. Take the deck back and spread it to yourself, secretly finding the right cards and upjogging them. Place them all on top (or wherever) and build up a dramatic climax by say...naming different attributes of their selection (colour...

    Name?

What's the point of giving it a name? Are you gonna publish it?

    Best ring flight?

Standard Ring Flight. I hear El Duco are very good.

    I need more effects.

Why not branch out into coin magic and start with "Bobo's modern coin magic" book? Or go straight into learning something like 3Fly.

    Best Cardini I've ever done

Very nice. I must admit the trick does leave me a bit empty. Even from a spectator's point of view. It's very straight forward and i'm not blaming your performance but i've always had a "meh" feeling about it.

    Deck production and vanish

Misdirection and a pocket can work wonders. Derren Brown's Zamiel's Rose uses an impromptu deck vanish. Found on the Devil's Picturebook.

    Burning Deck

Sankey's best in my opinion. Amazing reactions.

    Twisting the Aces?

I wouldn't recommend the Ellusionist "Mercury" trick as it is highly impractical and much better versions have been recommended here. Zenneth Kok's "The Zenneth Code DVD" contains a very workable and visual twisting the aces. There is a simple cutting the aces routine found in Paul...

    Pick A Card Help

There's one in ECT. You need a stacked suit. They can count, they look at the card and riffle shuffle the deck afterwards. You can still find it. Or a memorized deck. Or Osterlind's breakthrough system. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JJID9f2hMu0&feature=channel_page

Where O Where is Chad Nelson

Chad has "lifted off" to do some professional gigs and will hopefully "surface" soon on dnd's on demand. He's probably also "getting ready" for "winter". Anyone care to throw in another pun?
