You can keep up with Justin Willman (Kredible) and all he's involved in by following him on Twitter @Kredible

"Can you show me a trick?"

If you don't feel like doing anything, I wouldn't tell the person to F off. Be more respectful. Say something like: "I'm not really working right now, but because you seem like a nice guy, I'll show you something I've been working on." Then proceed to do something quick and simple such...

Performing for the Canucks' Sedin Twins!

Henrik Sedin lead the NHL in points last season. Anyway, just something to think about. While a trick involving twins comes to mind because they are twins, I would keep in mind that perhaps the whole twin subject might be to them, along the same lines as those magician jokes that we've heard...

Stud Playing Cards - Plastic Loop help?

I know what you mean. I love using the Stud playing cards. The only thing I could recommend is to use a hair dryer to heat up the plastic tab or breathe on it for awhile. In theory, it should melt some of the glue and make it easier for you to peel off without ripping the box.

    Luke Jermay - Buyer Beware

Just a quick update: I e-mailed Rob Domenech back and let him know I would rather receive his e-book instead of having him pay out of his pocket for what happened. He e-mailed me back the same day with his e-book. This does not excuse Luke Jermay's actions however I will wait 30 days...

    Luke Jermay - Buyer Beware

I e-mailed Luke at the e-mail address that JB provided Friday 8/13/2010. It's only been 5 days since then so I don't think an appropriate amount of time has passed to make any judgement calls on this yet. Let's wait 30 days and see what happens. I got the above E-mail from Rob yesterday...

    Luke Jermay - Buyer Beware

Thank you JB for looking into this for us. I know Theory 11 had nothing to do with the alleged scams, however you chose to help us out and that speaks volumes about you and your company. I just received my copy of Colorblind today by the way. I'll keep you guys posted on the status of my $1.99 :P

Dan Sperry on America's Got Talent

Great point! I'm going to have to agree with this 100%. If I was watching a magician, and really thought a piece of floss was pulled out of his neck, I would not want that to land on me. I don't think Dan would toss the floss so it would have landed on Howie. I think he just tossed it in...

Dan Sperry on America's Got Talent

YES! It was the best I've seen him do that routine. I especially like his use of B Smith's Wounded!!

    Luke Jermay - Buyer Beware

Somehow I hope this whole thing was some sort of experiment he was conducting, but from what I hear from others now, I'm not so sure! My experience was with Twitter. He was consistently tweeting up until his last $1.99 tweet on 6/25/2010. From all of his previous tweets, it really appears...

    Luke Jermay - Buyer Beware

What troubles me is that these posts on the cafe were made a year ago! I hope JB will be able to get to the bottom of things as this seems to be an issue that has been going on for a long time now. T11 has nothing to do with the mention accusations, however I really can't see how we as a...

    Luke Jermay - Buyer Beware

I have to say that I did buy Color Blind and I do love his Building Blocks book. I can't deny his talent and magic/mentalism. That being said, getting burnt for $1.99 felt more like a pinch than your friend getting punched in the face for more $$$, however it does not justify his actions. I...

    Luke Jermay - Buyer Beware

On 6/25/2010 at 1:11 AM Luke Jermay tweeted: "An experiment 1.99 lecture notes for 24 hours! two routines and bonus commentary email luke_jermay@yahoo.com to get yours!" I emailed him at 1:18 AM that day and received a response from Luke with the following: "Thanks for your interest in...

Magicians - How much do you charge?

Charge what you think you are worth! Like other performers, I also don't have a set rate for my services. I have charged anywhere from $150 an hour to $300 for walk-around/strolling magic. Stage is a bit different. There's more $$$ in stage shows. -Calvin

True Life: My Friend Shares a Tale of Magic - Or Lack Thereof

Katie, Did you ask your friend if the magician's patter was robotic? I think this is a common mistake among beginning magicians. The scripted words end up flowing out of the mouth without a hint of emotion and does not feel genuine. Thus, the magician never connects with his audience...
