    Ellusionist Uncut Sheets

Even if they were white centurions or anything else, it would still be a money-making ploy haha. That changes nothing. If T 11 were to market these, I'm sure people would buy, and the staff would go =) =) =). I'm just saying, at the end of the day, everything is a business, but the awesome thing...

Wow man, you're just under a year younger than me! Nice how you're a forum moderator =) That must be a lot of work, time, and effort! How do you manage it lol, with school and such and probably all the other stuff?

    Clipshift//An Idea for Patter.

Exactly my point. Don't be distracted with new moves tha are thrown out there. 90% of the time, what you've been practicing and using WILL work in the end. That's why you've been practicing. In the unfortunate event that you're learning the Clipshift early on into cardistry, then STOP learning...

haha nooooo. It's just the easiest username I could think of since the sixth grade. I thought i was GOD back then, and then I found Darwin Ortiz and then I thought... epic fail. Anyways, yeah =) Houdini lives on.

    Clipshift//An Idea for Patter.

Good idea...But I think it's rather weak how everyone puts the Clipshift on a pedestal. it's a sleight, and just because people claim its underground and is awesome doesn't make it any better than any old erdnase change, which may in fact give the spectator a greater experience. No offense, but...

    Misdirection

Agreed. Jeff McBride does a great job of detailing the finesse behind this idea in his linking rings routine DVD, which can be found on the WGM - Linking Rings DVD. WGM stands for World's Greatest Magic. He talks about how the linking of the rings is essentially done before any of the movements...

My head is about to explode. Please everyone attend a kindergarten class where we learn to respect others' ideas, no matter how ridiculous or logical they are =) Maybe we should get back to the specific topic about the #1 heckler response, or however you phrase it. maybe if someone disagrees...

Gaff Cards/Adding them midway in a routine

Yeah I put debate in there because I felt like i was debating, when I should have been having a colorful discussion =) And by the way, the ambitious card is not really always going back to the top, and neither is the patter overused or copied. I have at least 6 different ACR routines, but I...

    Misdirection

I agree. Personal preference for the win at the end of the day. My "elitest" mentality was not meant to be like that. I'm just saying that our attitudes on misdirection should aim towards not having to "rely" on it. Use of misdirection is quite fine, but I believe only when required.

I have to agree with everything you said. It took a lot of direct impact slaps to the head to make these points clear to myself. The Professor (Vernon for some) makes a very good point. One trip up and it's all done. Although I put that bluntly, I am just referring to what you said as a whole...

Gaff Cards/Adding them midway in a routine

To your first comment, that is precisely why the effect is not as powerful as it could be. You must routine the effect in a way that reflects on your ability to create a powerful moment for the spectators. If you honestly chose a method to perform the effect in a random way without sitting down...

    Misdirection

Well, I respect your take on this subject. However, I hoenstly believe misdirection is entirely different from what you've described as simple patter. Misdirection isn't quite saying something to me, but is more of actions or gestures, and even the use of eye contact. I could be wrong there...

Hecklers find people to heckle... hopefully their heckling isn't a response to your magic style. That would be unfortunate. Tinker around with your style and audience control, and maybe give that heckler a bad angle or something. Works for me, but at the end I know that around 80% of my...

I totally agree. Audience reading is very important, and in strolling situations (which I think the mast majority of us perform in), a VERY good opener ( opening effect ) is needed. Not only should it be quick-paced, it should allow you to gauge the reactions of your spectators as well as pick...

Gaff Cards/Adding them midway in a routine

Gotcha =) Sorry, I was under the assumption that you only took a ten and a three and made them into a 13 lol. Sorry to be such an a-hole, but 99% of the time I have't seen this correctly routined into a good effect. I like yours though. Gives reason to whatever you do. The next thing I would be...
