Royal Road to Card Magic or Expert at the Card Table Help

You should buy royal road. It's the perfect start off book to card magic. I would recommend some other books before going to Expert at the card table. Expert at the card table is probably one of the most difficult books to learn from and takes a while to gain the ability to do the necessary moves.

    Magic in Public

I would think that you wanted to ease into performing for strangers. You could shows a couple of tricks at school or wherever you work. After that is done I ask for criticism, comments, or tips. I really don't perform in public. i usually flourish in public then people might come up and...

    Nice little transpo

wasn't really a tranpo, jsut a card changing. it would be a transpo if the seven was face-up in the centre then they switched

    The center shift

you probably could've presented it nicer in a poker demonstration, also you could've pointed the camera at your hands as opposed to teh desk. I really couldn't see whther you flashed or not because of the blurs, otherwise it was pretty good.

    Worlds Fastest Pass

I played around with the idea and I didn't like the angles. i had a sandwich idea that was based off the shift and made the performance out of one move. But I personally thought it was really easy to figuer out, now and when I was playing around with the idea.

Ambitious Card - 'what sleights do you use?'

The best move I think to be created in card magic is probably the Diagonal palm shift by erdnase, it's the greatest slieght with so many applications.

How to deal with Tough Cookies ( Hard Audience )

rofl, I'm not proving anyone wrong, i'm teaching them a valuable lesson, "Never feck with the performer". And how many times have other spectators stopped hecklers? you have a more likely chance of being hit by lightning. but whatever, you do your magic your way and I'll do mine my way.

    The Gravity half pass

The second he said,"Pass" most people know that he's talking about packets transposing. He's not exposing anything. Yes, it's natural for the packets to bevel during the pass, you just need to grin and bear it and keep practicing. As for the squaring actions, I would try to square tham as...

How to deal with Tough Cookies ( Hard Audience )

But your not giving them anything, your making the other spectators have a gross dislike of them making them feel bad for what they did. it's worked for me 100% of the time and whenever I ask tehy how I did it they're like, "No man, don't want to dis-courage you or anything." They learn a lesson.

    A Short and Quick Trick

Showing dexterity is bad. Anyway it wasn't bad, but the thing that bothered me the most was that control. you had looked like it tensed up and a lot and for me that was a dead giveaway.

How to deal with Tough Cookies ( Hard Audience )

It'll shut him up. I don't know about you, but if you've ever expereinced a heckler, they don't just stop. They go to the worlds end to make you feck up.

    Expert at the Card Table

It speaks in a very old type of english. However this book is probably the best yet in card magic. it may be hard to learn, but it's very much worth it. There's almost nothing in the book you couldn't use. Everything in the book has an application for something.

How to deal with Tough Cookies ( Hard Audience )

Rofl, no need to be a hypocrit. And yes, you should do a sleight-free trick or a trick with a force or something very small they will never catch. This doesn't make the heckler angry it just puts him in his place. You can also say that your not going to perform if this heckler, or hecklers...
