The Fastest Way To Learn v.2.0

Kind of obvious, but as many have already said (Lee Asher, Aaron Fisher...), NOTHING replaces performing for laypeople, whereas it's to perfect your patter, verify if your misdirection works, try a new sleight... Performing in the real world will make you a better magician faster than rehearsing...

DIPLOPIA by Paul Vigil - Video Review

I think the more I'll do it, the better I'll be, but I'm yet to perform it smoothly enough to show it to anyone !

DIPLOPIA by Paul Vigil - Video Review

I really like the idea and the methodology behind this trick, but haven't been able to experiment it on real people yet, cause you need a fair amount of practice before being able to do it smoothly...but hey, it's just like any sleght of hand right ?

    Raven Coin Vanish

I think there's a DVDS on the raven, you should check it !

On the art of real world magic (or what should magic look like)

Well I don't completely agree with what you said, given the fact that sometimes, the circumstances don't allow you to start a casual talk with you audience (crowded room, not enough time...). I think the Deck Flash appearance is a very good way to : - let everybody know that you're a magician...

    Retention Vanish

I've been practicing this vanish myself lately, and I found that there was one thing, just one little thing that made this vanish ten times more convincing (at least for me) : I drop the hand that "receives" the coin when it's supposed to receive it (doesn't have to be much, 1-2 inches), and...

    INSIDE: Which card?

Well, still nothing in my mailbox today :( But the recent snowing caused a lot of trouble with the mail, so I'm still hoping to get this before Christmas !

    Gimmicks or Gaffs u carry with u ... ?

Thyose are not really "Gaffs" per se, but I try to always have a duplicate and a card which back is of a different colour. I also have a thumtip, one of the most useful props in magic !

    Best magical effect ... ?

Couldn't be more true ! Pizza is also my favorite meal because of the diversity btw!

Question about one Torn & Restoration card...

Looks a lot like "Shed a tear", from ROdney Reyes' School of hard Knox (which is achieved without flash paper, but it still looks the same, although I don't know if it's the same method)

Rewind : a new take on the timeless T&R effect

Hey guys ! I just checked this vid : http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xbeq3o_rewind_creation Now, I know the effect is anything but new, but the restauration sequence seems very clean (especially the last one, with the piece inside the mouth !), nothing is hidden in the hands and it's said...

    Really looks amazing !!

    Top Card Cover Pass

Hey guy ! If by top card cover pass you mean that you do a pass while the top card remains the same (thus hiding the pass), I think there's a good description in Daniel Rhod's "Magie Virtuelle". It's a french book, but I'm sure it won't be a problem for you ! ;)

SEPTEMBER 2009: That Feeling of Wonder

I'll just say one thing : best topic ever. It's said that the one thing that interests people the most is people, and now I really understand why. Every single reply here tells an amazing story, something that will be remembered by those people forever. It made me think about my own life...

    Best color change suggestions

I completely disagree with you here, the twirl change is a very effective way to change a card, it's incredibly visual. If people figure it out when you do it, then there must be something wrong with the way you perform it.

    Flourishing... Pointless?

Now that's funny, because I kind of had the same experience with some guys (around my age) I performed for at a paid gig : they were reeaaaaal hecklers, always trying to mess things up, until the point where I showed them, not magic but skills : flourishes, gambling demo, etc...they were...

    Serial Biller - Rich F.

sure the effect would be the same, but the impact wouldn't be. There's a BIG difference in your spec's minds between you tearing up a simple piece of paper (why would they care ?) and you tearing up the money they just took out of their wallet ! You know what I mean ?

    Best color change suggestions

the ones I use : - Twirl change, to laymen it's almost like real magic : the card never leaves their sight, is never covered and is away from the deck...and it's EASY ! What more could you ask for ? I guess shapeshifter is as visual, if not more, but it's much more difficult to have a good...

    WindowPro : a signed CTW...Has anyone seen this ?

Hey guys ! Title says it all...This one looks a lot like David Stone's Window, but... - a LOT cheaper (25€ for this one) - the spectator removes the card himself - SIGNED !!! ...so what do you think ?
