Thunderbird by L. Asher OR Autograph by J. Miller?

Ok, it's Devil's Advocate, my bad, I've been confused by the french version which is "l'avocat du diable". Won't happen again I promise. Me nice. Me hungry. Grump. Well, Autograph isn't supposed to be a magician fooler, nobody claimed it was (except maybe Brad Christian who said he had "no...

Thunderbird by L. Asher OR Autograph by J. Miller?

I know I'm about to play the advocate's devil, but...Why don't you buy Thunderbird, and at the same time watch carefully Autograph's trailer with a pack of cards in your hand and figure out the method ? I know what everyone is about to say, but come on, I agree that Autograph is a Killer...

    Best self working card effect.

A trick that has several variations called "Devastation" (Can be found on "Miracles for Mortals" vol. 2) or "4,5,6 packet trick" (can be found on Sal Piacente's lecture notes). Check also "The eye of Stonehenge", from Lennart Green (on Green Lite)

    What Happened to the Classics?

Well, I think the main issue with the classics (and classic guys) is that their material is often only available in books, sometimes in VHS... And most of the young people (this doesn't applies only to magic) prefers to watch a DVD rather than open a book, and honestly I think it's...

Daryl's Ambitious Card vs Crash Course 2

Sounds weird, but though I own CC2 I prefer the ACR taught in Ninja 2. To me it's really THE stuff : not too long, a lot of things happen (it's not just "look, it's on top again", you have vanishes, transpos...). I only added the pop out move, which kills. anyway, you should get Ninja 2, for...

Coin Under Watch with Oz Pearlman

On their shoulder (Greg Wilson's "On the Spot"), in a deck sitting on a card they merely thought of (Peter Harrison's "Magic in the Real World"), under their shoe (Jay NOblezada's "In the beginning there were coins")...lots of possibilities ! :)

    Color change

I'd say the Twirl Change, because : - very easy to do - looks like trick photography when done well - no angle What more could you ask for ? And, of course, the Ego Change and the Houdini Change are also very nice.

    What is your pet routine?

And concerning Stigmata, I've found that I get the best reactions from it when I perform it after several other tricks. When I just do it as a stand alone trick, I don't know, maybe people are not already convinced that I can do the impossible, so they're more curious about the method rather...

    What is your pet routine?

Houdini indeed chose his stage name after Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin, a french illusionist who is considered to be (here in France at least, I don't know if that's the case in the USA) one of the best performers EVER. And I totally agree when you say that the first trick you perform allows you...

    What is your pet routine?

I'm wondering what's the first trick that comes to your mind when someone hands you a deck of cards and asks you make him experience some magic ? Well, when it happens to me I usually do some kind of "spectator as the magician but with the magician backing him up if anything goes wrong"...

    Getting caught out on sleights

I once got caught on a DL by a friend who told me "Hey, you're 2 cards". I then placed my double on top of the deck and handed it for them to check that there was really One card, and doing so I palmed the top card. They checked, and then they remained quiet for the rest of the trick.

    A huge problem...

Fan control is a good idea I think, because it seems TOTALLY fair. And try to "Clutch" them, they won't see this one coming ! Also, if you're looking for a new DL you should consider learning Lee Asher's Diving Board Double. Really great stuff, and one of the fairest DL I know.

    Clutch by OZ Pearlman

The only thing is that it's waaaay overpriced. I mean come on, the trick is really good, but 20 bucks for it ? It's twice the price of DM's Angle Zero in the 1on1 section !!

    Spectator does the magic...

    Magic for blind people?

Hi ! that's a question that has been inside my head for quite a while now, and I wanted you guys to give me your opinion. Is it possible to create a magical experience for blind people ? It seems to me that every trick I perform is based on something visual, or at least implies the spectator...

    Magic for extremely smart people?

Well, I wish I had an answer for this one ! I have a friend who figures out almost everything I show her, she's very smart and by reverse thinking she almost always understand the mechanics of the trick. However, she's not the type of person who truly enjoys magic, she considers it more like...

Real Secrets of Magic Vol. 1

Really good advices, really strong magic, although you often have to know the basics sleights of hand (don't expect to do right away all the coin tricks if you have never handled coins before). I highly recommend this, I mean it !
