    Erdnase Go Round Variation

The variation basically starts off with the regular Erdnase Go-Around when the lower packet spins up horizontally, but then the second one jumps off the hands and spins the same way. Both are in the air at the same time, but the first is caught and then the second. It can be seen at 0:09...

    Second Thoughts

Yes, I would DEFINITELY get Encyclopedia of Playing Card Magic. It's a "beginners" book, but so many of the things in there are hard for me. For example, even though I can do D&D's Pandora (one of their more advanced flourishes on The Trilogy) pretty quickly and smoothly, I thought the...

Did Anyone Notice This About Smoke And Mirrors Design?

Can Dan & Dave Buck themselves PLEASE step in and clear everything up for us? Because JetEyeKnight seems to reject everything other than the fact that the double D's are mirrors. (Which I seriously doubt...)

What should a true magician know?

Not only that, but practice beyond when you THINK you've mastered it. Then practice some more. Because you can never really master a sleight - you can do it in your sleep, blindfolded, behind your back, and you can STILL mess up in front of a crowd. Nerves can really wreak havoc on a magician.

    What's Your Favorite Deck?

Run a search, there's most likely a topic on this swimming around in the forums somewhere.

    Starting XCM

The Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes was a godsend for me. It teaches not only the basics in EXTREME detail, but also some flashier one-handed cuts, armspreads... Jerry is amazing. Seriously.

    Weird places flourishing

Except making packets float for multi-card displays would be pretty easy. And you would never drop cards in zero grav :p

    Custom Cards Are Bad?

I really don't care about the kind of deck I use. The decks I use most are red-backed Bikes, but that's just because they're the most available deck. I mean, jeez, they're EVERYWHERE! But if I had one deck to use for the rest of my life... Ghosts, hands down. People don't come up to me and...

    1-on-1 // 5-Speed by Chris Kenner

I really like this trick, except I wanted it to be impromptu so I tweaked a few pieces here and there and eventually found an ending by David Stone that left me squeaky clean. :)

    Which cards to buy?

Tallys FTW, but I just discovered Studs and those are pretty bipping awesome as well.

    Help with Gaff Cards

Pip Matrix is always a killer. If you know Dream of Aces (offered on Ellusionist), that works wonders for a full routine. And of course, a deck change (like the one where the cards seem to rip from red into blue on the UltraGaff) is one of my favorite things to do with gaffs.

    Earthquake!

Yeah, I live about 45 minutes from Chino Hills, where the earthquakr came from. I was sitting in my class when we felt the shaking, and the teacher screamed "DROP!" and the entire class fell out of their seats and under their desks except for me and 4 other classmates. Stupid me, I was too busy...

...excuse me? Speed isn't everything, if it's fast and sloppy then that's not a good flourish. I give up. You don't even seem to entertain the possibility that other flourishers have their merits, even if you think that Tudor is really the "King of Cards." Instead, you brush off the notion that...

@ Brian: You say that smooth = slow, but then you say that Brian is the fastest and therefore the best. I think a lot of people here would agree that it's not the fastest, but the people who can do it fast AND smooth so that spectators can actually appreciate what's going on. Also, I seriously...

    Stud Playing Cards Review

So I swung by the local Walgreens because I read somewhere on the forums that Studs were only sold on the shelves of this particular store. I, getting sick of Bikes and Aviators, picked up half a brick - three blue, three red - and cracked open a pack of reds to take a look. BOX: Pretty...

The funniest trailer I've ever seen...

First I laughed, then I cried. Because I'm pretty sure he's not the only one who's done that before. That being said, that was a crime against humanity. XD

Goals for the end of summer '08

    1. Get VERY GOOD with the Clipshift. 2. Nail the Jackson 5. 3. Make a routine with the S.W. Elevator. 4. Get my hands on Tally-Hos and Arrcos before school starts. 5. Speed up my Cobra Cut.
