    Those backs look pretty sweet.

    Need a brick...

Hi, I am in the process of looking over several different NORMAL playing cards from Kardwell. I will be buying a brick of them, but the only thing left is to choose the kind of deck I need a brick of. Price is no matter (I only need 12 decks) - I am looking specifically for looks, fanning...

    Aviator Playing Card Review

I was poking around the gift shop at the Los Angeles International Airport looking for those elusive Tally-Hos when I came across something that looked like a cigarette pack. Curious, I looked closer... and saw that they were Aviators. Never having used cards besides Bikes and E custom decks...

    Saturday Night Contest: The Vespa

    1. We're totally out of control... 2. Dude, we drove so fast that our hairstyles switched! 3. I'm not interested. Get offa me!

    Double Jointed

I am not only double jointed but I also have a hitchhiker's thumb... the double joints really help on a normal bridge shuffle and the Hugh Scott shuffle, but they impede most everything else (like Kryptonite, because my fingers seem to lock halfway through the cut and the cards fall right out of...

They liked me, They really liked me: Barriers in magic

I was thinking about starting a thread like this... Just a couple of days ago, I was up in the mountains with my musical organization for a retreat. Not knowing what to say (not many people knew me well...), I busted out a deck of Ghosts and began flourishing. I would say that nine months of...

Saturday Night Contest: The Secret Life of d+M

    1. ...huh. Never had my "Change" do that before... 2. Let's use this as next week's Saturday Night Contest prize. 3. This is Daniel Madison, and this is proof that magic is real.

The official 'trick you perform everyday' thread...

TiVo Transpo and any sandwich effect are my all-the-time tricks that haven't let me down yet - perfect when I need to perform on the spot if I don't have gaffs or something of the sort.

    Twirl Change vs Shapeshifter Change

I ALWAYS use twirl change - the shapeshifter, for some reason, usually gets me caught... and I can do it perfectly about 99% of the time (perfect as in without flashing... no telling for exposure).

    Blue AND Violet Wynns?

There are ONLY blue Wynns, but in reality they are violet... we just call them "blue" because they tend to show up that way on camera.

    Shadow Masters Review

I don't really see the big problem that everyone has with the E logo on the top... I have never had ANYONE notice the logo on any of the E decks that I have. If it bugs you, it bugs you... but does it REALLY take away from the performance?

    Automatic Deck Break-in?

No, these don't help at all when you're trying to break in a deck of cards. They simply put two halves of a deck together, one from each half at a time. Kinda like a faro, but without the whole "bridge shuffle" that can be used to break in cards..

    Shadow Masters Review

This time I'm posting a review on the Ellusionist Shadow Masters. I've handled and bent the crap out of these things for two weeks, so here's how they're holding up. Box: Very nice. It's an eerie feeling, holding one of these boxes after seeing the Masters and regular Tallys for so long. The...

    Deck Test Update

I think this is an great thread - even though, I admit, I am an Ellusionist fanboy, this has a lot of valid points. Decks wear out quickly, and sometimes it's not worth buying cards over 5 dollars, if that. One question, though - what the HECK did you do to decks of Ghosts, Tallys, and...

What made you pick up a deck of cards?

All I remember is being fascinated by that guy with the hovering card in the magic shop and thinking, "I'm gonna be better than that guy!" I am now. :D

    Blue Wynns Review

Haha, i was just going along with the flow... if I'd said "violet" or "purple", people might've been like "WHAT? PURPLE? NEW COLOR? MUST GET!"

    Red Wynns Review

One-two punch - one on the Blues, one on the Reds. Box: Standard Bee Playing Card box, this time with a clear back so you can see the backs of the cards when you place them into the box. The red stands out more than the blues. 10/10 Card Back Design: Kinda weird, the backs are blood red. Not...

    Blue Wynns Review

Another card review, this time on the blue Wynns I bought in bulk on eBay. Box: Standard Bee Playing Card box, this time with a clear back so you can see the backs of the cards when you place them into the box. 9/10 Card Back Design: I don't know why everyone calls them blue when they're...

How old are the Brown Wynn cards?

I don't know... the bar code on my blue-violet Wynns were dated in late 2006, and the red ones were in February 2007. How recently did they stop printing?

    Bicycle Masters - Quality

The cards look normal, but they were the best cards I've ever use. Not trying to be an Ellusionist fanboy here, but they're thick and durable, fan extremely well, and hold together well during cuts. And yes, I have tried a LOT of decks, and these are just my personal favorites. It's not just...
