I started out on Flourishes as I didn't know if I wanted to get into magic. Plus there is no issues over sharing secrets with flourishes cos there aren't any.
However due to my colleagues (who are magicians) and a thread I started in Theory11 magic had to follow as it seemed pointless doing...
Problem is if you show a trick like over and over again. You kind of know what is coming and its a little boring. (Sorry JP if you read this - love you really). You can only be amazed first time, amused a second by the third you kind of want to get on with your own flourishes/shopping/thing...
Ok just want to get a few opinions on this. Has anyone ever gone "pro" doing solelly flourishes? Without being a magician? I have an interest in flourishes and unfortunately not so much for magic at the moment, even though I work for a couple of magicians.

I'm relatively new at flourishes, I started 6 months ago. I don't know much about XB but Trilogy is a pretty hard DVD to start off with. What helped me were D&D The System and Showoff with Cards.
Its pretty basic but really helped me at the beginning and still does...
