    Make your own loops?

Then I would strongly recommend getting Million Dollar Knot. The kind of knot and the way it is tied would not be obvious to most people.

    Do you fish?

    Book test resources

You are putting a lot of limits on yourself. Generally, if the spec can freely handle the book you are looking at a gimmicked book test and if you want to do an impromptu style book test (Chan Canasta style) you need to handle the book to some extent. Peter Turner just released a book test that...

    Make your own loops?

I tie my loops with the million dollar knot. It used to come with a spool of Pet 2.0. Don't know if it still does. Anyways, Pet 2.0 is very invisible but pretty weak. Not strong enough for the haunted pack. So if you get the download you may want to get the Infinity. With 200 feet you should be...

    Original Effects

I think you have a really nice elegant style. Not sure that all of that stuff is completely original but you certainly put you own stamp on everything. That popout at the beginning was particularly nice and eye catching. Overall really well done!

    Critique on show poster appreciated.

The only thing is the shirt. I take it you are a mentalist? Somehow the unbuttoned shirt looks a bit too casual. I really don't know enough about style to give you a specific reason for this. My "gut" tells me that if I were a college kid looking at that I would be less likely to attend because...

So you are kind of "on the fence" about the place ;)

Exciting new release ! Chardshark DVD !

Most of those moves are already in my repertoire but that doesn't mean just learning repertoires isn't valuable. I knew all but about two sleights Benjamin Earl taught in Past Midnight and yet that is still one of my favorite DVD sets. So even guys who have studied card magic for over a decade...

    "Think Stop" copied?

Think stop is the plot. There are several methods to achieve the effect. It is like ACR. If Aaron Fisher teaches one, it will be his handling of the effect, Paul Wilson might have a different method, and Luke Jermay his style, and so on. I know that Aaron is not stepping on Lukes Think Stop by...

    TheMagicCafe...

It is an interesting place. I only joined because I released my first book (a deck vanish) and the companies carrying my book encouraged me to join. So we start a thread about the book, comments start trickling in, reviews are good. The thread then starts really hopping and generating a lot of...

Quantum Bender vs. Coinvexed Head-to-Head Review!

I have seen a few debates about these two products pop up from time to time on various forums. I finally decided to do a head to head review that considers the practicality, the quality, and the price of the gimmicks. http://www.custom-playing-card.com/quantum-bender.html

The Vault, Joe Porper, and Ellusionist Card Clips

That is a very good question....I hadn't thought of that. It wouldn't surprise me if it does. If I notice a need for periodic cleaning I'll update the review. There is ,what looks like, a protective coating of some sort on the outside of the Vault. That my minimize the need for cleaning.

The Vault, Joe Porper, and Ellusionist Card Clips

I recently got The Vault, by Jamie Grant, and it inspired me to do a little buyers guide for card clips. Find out some of the pros and cons of the three main varieties of card clips on the market. http://www.custom-playing-card.com/card-clips.html

Cardistry may be a good convincer for card magic

Well from personal experience I still think you are basically wrong. Derren Brown, in another part of the book, refers to a "fancy cut flourish," and essentially makes the same point. Now at the time he penned this book(2002 or 2003, can't remember exactly) one of the most fancy cuts used was a...

How to return to original order?

Culling is just hard to make smooth. That said, I have heard good things about the Roadrunner Cull by Kostya Kimlet. For me personally, I got Ian Moran's Cull Father. I found that to be a great resource.

Cardistry may be a good convincer for card magic

This quote was written in the broader context of presenting the magician as a Hero like figure.

How to return to original order?

That is because he is handling it in such a way to teach the effect to relatively new magicians. I don't use that effect until after three phases of an ACR, three different flourish cuts,, a few different false shuffles, and a spectator cut. My recommendations for you, similar to others I have...

How to return to original order?

The Big Deal by Josh Jay This isn't exactly what you are looking for but, considering the skill level you claim to be at, This is where I recommend you start. It does not return the deck to new deck order bot instead reveals a black jack hand, a poker hand, and a bridge hand along with a...
