Hey Guys,

Just a quick note to let everyone know about a new site I'm editing, working alongside Jay Crowe (JP - Creator of Water to Beer and Phork) and Liam Montier! (Cherry Cola queen, Liam Montier's Wicked World)

It's a one stop resource for magic news, reviews and there are some exciting new features to be added in upcoming weeks including an interviews section and a features section giving the industry a brand new place to set as it's home page! ;)

Go check it out!

I'm currently scouting for guys to contribute, be it reviews, news, articles, whatever - We'd be really interested in seeing what every one has to offer so that we can keep this industry moving forward!!!

Drop me a PM or email DC@DeeChristopherMagic.com if you're interested in getting involved!

Cheers,

D.

Don't really like it.

We've got enough (good) sites with the latest magic news. But frankly, I don't really go on them either.

24h.com is quite hard to navigate and it's unclear as to what's what.

I'm not quite sure as to what's difficult to nav. on the site :s

There's the standard blog layout, a news tab and a reviews tab... That's all currently - It's not a complex system in the least.

I must stress that the site has only been up for a little while, The content is sparse currently, however, after being asked to be editor yesterday I'm pushing to take things up a notch.

It's a fair comment that there are an amount of news sites around, I'm a big fan of what iTricks do for instance, but a key thing we'll be offering with 24h is a content section featuring essays, interviews, articles and the like.

Either way, of course you're entitled to your opinion, but take note of the name, there's some big plans in the works ;)

I dont like saying this.

But dude iTricks have beaten you to the punch.
And now with theory11 having on Fridays there sponsored post, there's no way.

They have it covered over there, but I could be mistaken.

I know the guys at iTricks very well, I'm aware that there are a few good news sites out there - iTricks being one of them.

The big issue lack in sites like that is readable content. it's just a news site essentially, we're going to be pushing the feature and essay side of things heavily with the news as a front end.

Imagine 24h as the lifestyle mag to iTricks' Sunday times.

When the site is up and complete with the contributions we've received from various people you can rest assured that there'll be considerable differential factors between 24h and iTricks ;)

Examples of how it's quite unorganized:

The "news" section is seperated from the main site layout, so it's almost like a subsite from the main 24h.com. If I click on news, I enter this blog...kinda thing which personally, I don't fancy. So if I want to go back to the main 24h.com site I have to either click back or re-type the address- which is annoying and BAD.

I just don't like blog layouts with all these archives, links, tags, etc. they just make the page look very messy.

Also, may I suggest taking "Rss" out of the "News" link in the nav bar. Rss is something that shouldn't be in the link, but rather on the blog page.

I just don't like BLOG layouts in general...

that's fair enough man, but you shouldn't let the lack of sheen put you off. some cliche's...

'don't judge a book by it's cover'

and...

'never go with style over substance'

i know it might not look too grand at the moment, but i am sure it will feature an array of worthwhile read's!!

Cool, that's nice to hear man - I'm glad you're liking the site!

The entire thing is to be re-designed over the next couple of weeks by a group of professional web-geeks to address the issues people have noted and make the site look pretty and do it's job!

Check out the new article by Morgan Bondett, another GREAT writer and also the PHORK comp.

Thanks again!

Hi guy's.

Glad you're liking the site, through various discussions with D and the guy's, i can tell you for sure that this site is a very exciting prospect.

I have essay upon essay planned, and i've secured interviews with Andi Gladwin and Mike Skutt, with more to follow, so peel your eyes for those!

It's an honour to have Morgan Bondett on board as a featured writer too!

We each have alot of plans for our contributions to the site, so check daily!

Thanks again, guys!

Also just put up the first interview with 'Gambit' an up and coming. The little chat was conducted by one of the newest contributors Brandon Wolf from Ohio.

I've known Brandon for maybe a year now and it's great to have him on board. Watch out for his name, he's got some AWESOME material.

Go check the site - lots of updates ;)
