50 Classic Passes

Don't bend over when doing a classic pass. Hands should stay in the normal resting position. Also, the pass should be done as soon as the hands meet.

Later Edit (tokyoUW got me started): Also, what's the point in posting videos of a single move WITHOUT using it in a trick (or context)? I feel that recently, the Classic Pass videos are trying to overwhelm the number of Clipshift videos posted by random 14 year-olds. Unfortunately, Youtube is full of silent, crotch-shot, grainy clips displaying the bare mechanics of a move.

Actually, your technique is not bad, but without a context, it's very difficult to judge the quality of the move.
Just be natural, and don't do it too fast. You want the pass to be one fluid motion.

About the pass that should be done as soon as the hand meet, I don't really agree completely. While most of the time that would be true, you might want sometimes the image of cleanly replacing the top half of the deck onto the selected card. Then, while moving the deck or whatever covering motion, you do the pass.

Anyway, just try to make it look like you're not doing anything. That is the key of any good sleight.

Hey Guys,

The reason i was moving back and forth was so that i could see the screen of my computer. It was at a low angle so the reason i was bending over was to see my screen. I normally dont move my entire body during my pass! haha..

The reason there was no point was because i was practicing the pass using the camera. I was just looking at the different angles.

Well, I understand what you mean. But personally, I feel some tension when you do the move, I can feel you get prepared for the move, then relax when it's done. If you want it to be perfect, your right hand should barely move, or not at all. Here we can feel the move, even when your angles are covered.

When I do a classic pass, I try to keep my hands and arms relaxed in a natural manner. The move should take the least ammount of energy possible. Keep it smooth, fluid. Think "natural motion", not "I must absolutely do it super fast". If WE notice something weird in your handling, the audience will too. We don't have super eyes, but we might know where you can improve.
