OK, so we have made the decision on doing the Bryce's Screen. We haven't, however, figured out what to make it with. We are going to Lowe's tomorrow. What do you guys think I should make it with? (we thought of using plywood, but we don't know.) Any ideas? Help would be greatly appreciated!!

Yeah here i my take on this, for the bryce screen illusion I would suggest Masonite or quarter inch ply wood. The difference between the two is this, one is more like card board and can be cut with an utility knife; the other will need a saw.

To attach the panels together, I would using gaffers tape. (basically its a very strong fabric tape.) Its the stuff used for the box in "Origami" Jim Steinmeyer. You may be able to find it at theater supply stores or sound equipment store. If that is not available I suppose you could get away with Duct tape.

Just make sure when you are taping the panels together to leave about 1/4 inch gap or more between panels so that they can fold into each other. Another tip is when you are taping the panels together, don't tear off a big strip and try to stick it down strait. Grab a friend and slowly unroll and stick.

We have had a few members of our IBM ring make these...do not use plywood unless you want to be lugging around something VERY heavy. Two of our guys used strong foam board and then covered them with cloth from a fabric store. This is definitely the way to to do it and have it portable with ease. I am not sure what they used to hold the foam boards together.

And yes...both guys tried the particle board / ply wood route and then stopped halfway into the project to be told to go get the foam board.

Just my two cents. Do what you want though.
