i do jay sankeys dont feed the cards its where a rubberband is wrapped around half the deck and you have them select a card from the half that is not wrapped you then dribble/spring and you toss the deck through and you catch the selection between the cards (im working on a version where it is between the 2 aces or jokers.
yeah i think ive seen that one before actually and its badass. I forget who first published it though.
Just while we're on the subject of revealing thought of cards in mystical ways. You might be interested in watching Boris Wild's "Pure" routine I believe it's called. Really something to watch, it's on youtube somewhere.

The plot I use for a quickie "show me a trick" type effect is usually pretty simple. Control to top, DL to display wrong card, then rub on some nearby surface (countertop, my forearm, back of spec's hand if I'm flirting w/her) to reveal transformation.
