My place!
the old fashion chalier cut, now used in flourishing and through out a magic routine as a fancyish way of cutting the deck.

How ever i have heard people call it the chalier pass

this got me thinking and i have some questions

did it start off as a pass?

is it a pass?

and can it be used as a pass?

It started as a pass and to all other flourishers the reverse erdnase was also a pass.

Go buy ,"Expert at the card table" by erdnase to found out how to do it

OK Erdnase did publish the classic pass but i think he called it the erdnase shift, the charlier pass was the charlier cut which was meant to be a pass also by hiding the cut while reaching over with your left hand on a gaming table, thus hiding the cut.

Reverse erdnase? You mean the Erdnase shift right.

I don't see the point of using them as passes and it's not as good as the old classic pass.

No, in ,"The System" by Dan and Dave they have a cut called the ,"reverse erdnase" and it's exactly the same as in ,"Expert at the card table."
