Okay guys, I know a lot of people post the tricks and stuff they want for Christmas, which is basically over 1 month - 2 months away. I thought I'd try this, see all the responses (especially the hates one. haha). I'll post a little side note for why i want these specific things. This is not all I need considering that i need clothes and other stuff too. And keep in mind im 14, so I know I have LOTS AND LOTS to learn! And, since Christmas is like the only time of year in which I can get anything magic , this is to knock out all of the others, so of course, there will be quite a bit of stuff to make up for the time being, here we go:

1. Kaleidoscope by Jay Sankey (I love his work, read the reviews, seems like it has some pretty good magic in there.)

2. 99 by Jay Sankey (Want to step into something besides cards, this seems like a sure fire way to get people's reactions. And, it's flat and portable.)

3. By Forces Unseen by Earnest Earick (I know these effects are difficult, but I will put in the amount of time to get them down i.e. 1-2 years. Based on the preview video and the reviews, this seems like it can be one of my best buys.)

4. Card College by Roberto Giobbi (I'm not going to say which volume, considering it will get a lot of hate, but this volume is the stuff that I personally need the most work on. This can help me a bunch.)

5. Arcane Deck Black/White (Yeah, I know, it's another E deck, but so what, they look nice, and another deck that I can add to my collection.)

6. Serial Biller by Rich Ferguson (I always wanted to get into some money magic, things with everyday objects. The fact that it can be borrowed makes it better, I'm really excited about this one.)

7. Blue Vintage 1800 Deck (My red one was ruined trying to make an invisible deck, which succeeded. Since I'm a Visual Arts major at my arts school, the design and the detail is really what gets me, not because it looks like someone pissed on them.)

8. Card Clip (Aside from my Assassin's Pouch, I need something to keep my cards in great condition without lugging other things. A lot of heat and humidity down here in Charleston, the card clip will keep everything in good condition.)

9. Paper Engine by Aaron Fisher (This book can really help on my card magic a lot, and can help me improve in everything. I'm looking forward to this buy, especially the things featured in the preview vid, as well as what was said in the reviews.)

So that's it guys, tell me what you think about some of these products that I have listed. :)

It wasn't clear in your original post, but I'm assuming this is a thread for others to post their wishlists and so forth - and receive feedback as well, correct? In addition to providing you with feedback on your selections, of course. Just wanted to clear that up.

A Card Clip is definitely essential in areas with a lot of heat and humidity. Try living in Florida - where it's near impossible to perform card magic outside of an air conditioned building. ;)

This has caused me some chagrin, in that it seems to be becoming a "popular recommendation" - much like Fundamentals has for mentalists, this is Fundamentals for card magicians looking for advanced material. Lots of people like it without actually having it. That said, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, since by all accounts, the material is actually good (Just to make this clear, I don't own BFU). There was a time a few months back when everyone was asking about BFU. It's not a bad thing, it's just... It encourages people to become sheep.

4. Card College by Roberto Giobbi (I'm not going to say which volume, considering it will get a lot of hate, but this volume is the stuff that I personally need the most work on. This can help me a bunch.)

No hate here, anything from Card College is good, although I'd definitely recommend the entire thing sooner or later.

5. Arcane Deck Black/White (Yeah, I know, it's another E deck, but so what, they look nice, and another deck that I can add to my collection.)

Nothing wrong with that. I picked up a pair out of curiosity. Ditto with the vintages and card clip.

Yeah, you'll definitely enjoy Paper Engine. The best thing for me is Aaron's really well thought out, clever construction for his original sleights. The mechanics are just so smooth and well done from a performance point of view.

I said it to goku in his thread though so I'll say it here too - does feel like an awful lot of magic to be buying at once.

jonraiker, yes it is. There are losts of different threads for others Christmas lists, this is just the main focus of everything Christmas wise. Yeah, it is very essential for me. Never had one, so I've been debating on whether or not to get one. Now, I will.

Maybe i made it a little unclear in the original post praetoritevong, but Christmas is the only time I get anything magic related ALL YEAR, and it gets the high shipping costs down as well. 9 things isn't a lot of stuff compared to goku's (lol). But it's mainly to respect their ideas on what THEY want, not based on other's opinion. But i see where you are coming from.
