Color Changing Stigmata

Hello I would like to share an idea I had for Wayne Houchin's Stigmata. Ok do the last method of Stigmata the psychological one. Ok now you have the 7 on your wrist. Now pull out a deck and let's say an 8 is picked. Then they shuffle the deck. Do the move, which would make the 7 an 8. Then show your wrist and the 7 visually starts to change into an 8. MAGIC. Hope you like it.

I perform stigmata regularly. I personally think that, though I'm sure when you thought of the idea it sounded cool, it would drastically degrade the effect it's self.

I'll generally perform Stigmata to groups as it's the kind of effect that gets them either screaming or renders them speechless.

This reaction is heavily to do with the simplicity of the idea - you don't just pull the name of a card out of some ones head, it appears visually under your skin... I'll perform it as a finisher as it leaves people talking for hours. You should let people talk and talk about what you've done, not cut the reactions short by sticking something else on the end. I feel it would cheapen people's views and they'd see it as more of a 'trick' than a breach of normality.

It's great that you're coming up with lots of variations and ideas, but you have to be careful in applying certain ideas to already devastating routines.

Keep up the good work, but really think hard about if something is going to be a solid addition to a routine to enhance the overall reactions, or whether it's going to take away from that, you know?

I kind of like the idea. I don't think turning a 7 into an 8 would be good. I think some other number would be better.

And I think it would be a great follow-up for stigmata.

on Theory11.
Nice thought, but if you literally just READ their mind and had THEIR THOUGHTS appear IN YOUR SKIN....

I think it's time to stop there before someone gets hurt.

I don't think you can (or should) follow an effect THAT POWERFUL with anything.

When you fry your audience to the point where there is literally NOWHERE to hide, it's time to stop. Because you've done it.

Meh, it's ok. A little anti climactic.

They already "see" the marks visually rearrange on your arm.

Isn't that enough.

If you could make it appear on the spectator's arm ...

Anyone wanna further brainstorm Stigmata with me just send me a PM or IM

I like the idea. I like the creativity you put into it. Nice work
HOWEVER the only reason i say you shouldn't do it is because your starting with pure magic... you are literally reading their mind at first. Their is no way they can link what is on your arm to a sleight of hand or anything because of the fact that to them... you read their mind.
So to go from that, and then go and have them select a card and do a change, to me it seems like it brings the experience down. Only because your going from something as powerful as pure magic, reading their mind. To you having to have them select a card.
If the selection of the card is the first move... and then the phycological one... Excellent. But the other way around just doesn't feel right and i know that if i was a spectator i think i would be taken back by that.
In my opinion stop while your way ahead.
Hope this was helpful.
