Be grateful, graceful and enjoy it. I've known David for decades now, he can be charming and quite cordial though like most of us, he has a not so flattering "dark side" when it comes to business.
Several years ago we (Ken Whitaker and I a.k.a. Creative Illusions) were working with David on a new Helicopter Appearance idea he had. In the process he invited us to the show at Caesar's Palace where we sat with Paul Gertner who'd been coaching David on the Grampa's Aces routine. . .this was the first show he was featuring the bit in and you'd think David was a 12 year old kid doing his first show he was so nervous about the one card trick over all the other stuff he had to deal with on stage.
