Wish I could avoid all this. This morning when I was walking in the street I was stopped by a magician who was doing his stuff (card tricks) near a mall. So, I let him entertain me with his card tricks. He was well-dressed, with a decent suit and a tie. But one thing that turned me off was that before he started spreading the cards, he openly digged his nose without wiping it off started to spread his deck nonchalantly. I picked a card hesitantly and the card that i picked (i could still remember that it was the 8 of hearts) was smeared with his sticky, greenish nose fluid! Besides, he had dirty fingernails too. I threw the card off and just walked off. It was a bad experience.
You guys just don't understand him. That was probably his way of marking his cards in impromptu settings. Huei Xiang actually picking the card supports the hypothesis.
Come on, this is well known technique by only the best Professionals. It is a key card, an impromptu breather crimp, a marked card, AND a substitute for double stick tape. Papercrane is coming out with a DVD on this, thought everyone knew.
