Double Lifts

Why have some people so against double lifts with breaks? I used to use a strike, but in my opinion, a strike double is much harder than a simple pinky count. Unfortunately, I learned this after the pinky count, otherwise I would not have bothered learning the strike.

Pinky count can be used for so much more than a double lift, definately my favourite and over-used sleight.
