Editing Software for Videos?

Which editing software should I use?
I'm thinking of getting a nice editing software.
I've use movie maker on windows but it's really not that good.
I'm not to advanced to go for sony vegas 7 and stuff but what is a good intermediate edting software for videos?

I heard Funal Cut pro was easy to use and really really good, you should check it out. although it sounds your working with a PC, I think Final Cut is only for Mac, not sure though

If you are on a PC, then purchase Sony Vegas Pro (the most current version is 8). I suggest this program because, in my opinion, it is the absolute best program available for a Windows OS, and has unparalleled features.

Final Cut and it's upgrades (Express, Pro) are only for Mac OS.

Duh, if you're on PC use Vegas... But professionals usually use Final cut Pro, which is for Mac.
