For those of you that do "Freak" by Will Houstoun, There is a tiny little thing that you could do in your performance, after you "break your finger" you offer to demonstrate it on the finger of a spectator, telling them to close their eyes and to imagine that their finger is made of rubber (insert witty patter here). Also mention that the momment that it hurts even a little bit, to tell you.
It's great because the don't actually catch the method, and other people around will find it astonishing. Believe me
