How do you ask?

ok im supposed to be going to venice beach this weekend and i never really went up to people and asked "hey wanna see a magic trick" or anything like that people just know i do magic and and to see something or i know the person and i ask em i never really just did it for strangers in a strolling environment so i just wanted to know how you guys ask?

If working i usually just say...
"hey guys i am the house magician tonight would you guys like to see some magic? (Which then i always like to ask what are their names and then state mine to make it friendly).

If doing it casual out in the streets which i rarely do... I try to have a buddy come with a camara always...
"Hey guys were filming some magic would you guys mind if we show you something?" That way the camara gives it a purpose and im not some random weirdo shoving cards in there face.

Well, Ramo it is or has been for me quite difficult(but it becomes easier). I mean unless you're Angel or Blaine people don't really get excited when you say hey wanna see a magic trick. Key one: don't walk up to them with a camera in their face. People naturally don't trust strangers(for some reason,lol) Key two: it easier to go up to someone or a group if they are sitting down. Say at at table and they're almost done eating or bench smoking or hanging out. Key three: it easiest just to come off friendly. Introduce yourself and simply ask them if they would like to see a piece of magic. Charisma sells everything. They might decline and that's fine.(keep trying) But pace yourself. Eventually you'll get some footage it may be only one or two demonstrations but enjoy the moment. Actually for you you're going to a tourists related location so you'll probably find someone. When people are on vacation they like to be entertained(especially for free). Hope I could help. God bless and remember always keep them wondering. GOOD LUCK!

Try a startling effect that doesn't need an intro. I recommend D'lites or flash paper. They work for me.
