How Do You Close A Pressure Fan With One Hand?

It looks really good when done correctly, I can do the pressure fan but when I try and close it, using the same hand...that's when things go badly, I mean, I am able to close it halfway then the deck starts to "jam up" at the bottom of the fan.

Do you have any tips on how to close a pressure fan with one hand?
