How Safe is Thread by WH?

The geek method is quite painful in the first week or so of practicing it, but it is actually fairly safe, as long as you pay very close attention to Wayne's tips.
The sleight method is 100% safe, no problems there.

Yeah I actually pulled my eye right out of my head, and it rolled onto my cheek. It got me great reactions from the spectators though, so it was worth it, and it only took 2 months in hospital to fix. ACTUAL.

LOL.

Seriously though, needing glasses because of thread? Are you high? The need to wear glasses is caused by a number of things, all of them centering around the lens, the cornea, and the iris. If you did something to any of those parts of your eye when performing thread, then you did something very wrong, and its not the fault of the trick.

I think this may be what is commonly known as pattern recognition. You start performing a trick, that involves your eyes, then just like that, as happens with many people, you need glasses. Of course its the -trick's fault.-

Please unless you're using thread laden with bleach, then its not related. This is a safe trick, I've performed it hundreds of times, and my glasses prescription hasn't changed one iota.

Maybe thread actually -prevents- eyes getting worse? Because to be honest, when I started performing it, my prescription stopped getting worse! Prior to that it was getting worse by -0.5 a year. WOW!!!! WH is a healer!!! Or is it just that my prescription stopped getting worse because that's how it is, and it happens?

i say dont play with your eyes...anything can happen. If you really want to do it do the sleight method.

Yeah but that doesn't mean thread caused you to wear glasses, and I have the opinion now that you're just some clown ragging on a good trick because you don't have the stones to do it.

i do have a slightly different question about thread. do any of you guys have contacts and does it affect them if they are left in. i have perfect sight but my gf wears contacts so i want to make sure it won't cause her any problems if she has them in when she does it.

I know my brother wears his contacts when he performs thread. 2 weekends ago he tried to perform it in front of a large crowd at a horror movie convention. And all hell broke loose, he couldn't get a hold of the thread in his eye and in the process of looking for it his contact fell out.
He was bummed for a week.
I'm to weird about my eyes i cannot even wear contacts let alone do Thread....I wish

I'm in the same situation, I don't know how people can wear contacts, their eyes go massive. XD
Is it easier and does it hurt in any way?

It looks quite powerful and insanely visual, I don't quite know what to do..
