I'm Looking for a multi-trick DVD or Book that...

...doesn't have card magic. Don't get me wrong, I love card magic, but I have a lot of it, and I want to expand.

I have "Bobo's Guide to Modern Coin Magic" from which I have built two, solid, routines with coins.

I have four solid card routines. (each consisting of three or four effects.)

I really want to get into magic with things other than cards and coins. I bought "Thirteen Steps to Mentalism." by Corinda a while ago, but that was a bad idea. I'm not really much of a mentalism person. It just doesn't fit my personality.

So, I want to get a book or DVD with multiple-non-card effects in it.

I thought about getting, "Exile" and "Control", but I don't want to shell out $50 for only two effects.

I read through a book on performance theory a while ago, and really enjoyed it. What I need right now is not about performance theory though.

All advice is appreciated.

I Highly recommend Rubber band Magic because You Can Do everything "Spur Of The Moment"

Missing Link By: Chris Kenner (5 Stars Solid!)

Any Rubber band DVD/Book (Although May Be Difficult to find a book on this type of magic...)

You little stalker!
Jay Sankey has a "Sankey's Best Magic with Everyday Objects" DVD

You can also try "On the Spot" with Gregory Wilson. It's a dvd of totally impromptu magic.

I HIGHLY recommend Banding Around by Russel Leeds. It's an entire dvd on revolutionary rubber band magic. Russel teaches you stuff like transforming a band into a coin, doing a rubber bands through table routine, doing 3 fly with rubber bands, and so much more! Get it!!!

I have an advice here. I know you all want to be difference. I know you want to be extraordinary. But being too difference will make you a difference of yourself. My sentence will not make any sense if you don't think about it.

I think your idea is great, expand yourself. But don't go too far.

WTF is that? Lol. He asked about DVDs that don't have card magic in them? How does knowing some magic that is not card magic make someone extraordinary? Moreover, outside of an acid trip, how is that going to result in an existential crisis? I mean seriously, put down the pipe man.

Most of Sankey's stuff is really good, so you can safely go for either imo, however it depends why you want to learn non-card magic?

I mean Sankey is a working magician so has stuff with him, lol magic with everday objects may suit people that just want to use anything that's lying around.

It depends what you want.

If you ignore the first half of the book, Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic fits the bill. I've seen copies at Barnes & Noble, so you might be able to head to your local book store and find a copy and see if you're up for it.

I actually do own the book, but I've never really liked much of the magic in it besides the coins, cards, and stage illusions. I'm not much of a stage illusionist and I've learned most of the coin and card sleights. (They're very simple.)

I have no idea what you're trying to say. I simply want to learn a few non-card effects because I think I can entertain my audience more that way. Whenever I do a card effect at school I always hear, "Are cards all you do?"
