I live in Georgia, or else I would!

I don't really however understand the concept of jamming with someone you know over the internet (although I have done it before).

It can't really be safe (even though magic places are not inhabbited by crooks by nature) but you still don't know who you are meeting...

But if you go to your local ring meetings (if you live in the states) you are sure to make friends if you have some skills at all (and not just magic ones at that; also social skills).

That way you can actually have friends who live near you. Sometimes you will even meet famous people. A few people who come to my local meetings a lot are...

-Ken Scott
-Dan Garrett
-Joe Turner

I feel fortunate. I just don't feel like meeting people over the internet is the right way to go about this, unless like both of you will be at the same magic convention or something.

Sorry, had to voice my opinion. :D

no it's all good but for me there happens to be that there are not many magicians in the new jersey area i know or could think of and I love meeting new ones and sharing ideas. My opinion.
