ok so on a previous thread i mentioned (well did a prety hefty speech about my first ever performance i did two days ago and felt it went quite well performed for about 12 mins on a buss and we caught half of it on video..... granted the expressions on the spectators faces get better throughout :D and i had an epik kicker ending with one long mouth reel :D

constructive criticism is welcome and needed tell me what you think :D

That was pretty cool!

A few things:

- For the card to mouth, I would hand the deck to them and ask them to try and find the card in the deck.. let them keep on searching until they look up at you. This would work better than forcing them to look up... the other specs will also be laughing their asses off while their friend is trying to find his card.

- For the DL move where you 'put the 3S' in their hand, I would suggest you look up a trick called here then there. It's similar, but is much more effective.

Other than that... all I can say is... good job!

That was cool. I always enjoy watching live performances..

Like Mehar said, I would look at the "here then there" effect. it looks a lot more magical. combined with a shapesifter looks so sick.. also you should look into the David Williamson's effect called "Torn & Restored Transpo", such a killer effect...
David Blaine performs it here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncmS55bfJmw

Also your card to mouth effect seemed RUSHED.... and don't say "look up" RIGHT after you put the card in your mouth... and when you put it in your mouth, try to get it in there the first time lol.. don't go back up to adjust the card... create "time misdirection" so they don't just figure you put the card in the mouth...

Your stairway looked NICE!!

Other than that, just practice presentation more fluidly and try to have some solid "sets" so everything flows alot more smoothly and it doesn't look like your scrabbling to show off magic..

good stuff though.

and for the card tricks. i actually know both of them :O i just didn't think at the time.... and they are the ones i use on my friends all the time.... along with an amazing spectators sandwich routine.... thinking about it i had many opportunities

i was proud about stairway because i was going to do it when i asked for a note so change to a coin trick then did it later on with a card :D first time trying that card trick surrounded also thanks for all the comments and constructive criticism guys ! :D

Loved watching the live performance. I'm glad your camera man filmed a lot of the spectators faces and reactions. Too many times we focus the camera right on the magicians hands and miss out on all of the shocked reactions and expressions. Nice performance for your first time. Now get out there and do it again the next day, and the next and the next. You'll be surprised how fluid your motions and patter become and how easy these effects will continually improve with just tiny adjustments.
