Table Hopping?

Hello I'm been into magic for some time and have been building up good routines and I wanna start doing table hopping. Only problem is I don't know if me, being a teenager, will be hired for that. I was just wondering because I know some of you do table hopping is what age do you think is appropriate to start table hopping?

I know people as young as 15 working tables. Its all about what place your trying to work and a lot about your personality. If you seem mature and have a good approach to people i dont see why you cant start working at 16. When i was 16 visiting a nice Italian Restaurant the owner stopped by the table and i showed her a couple of tricks. She brought me to the kitchen and had me show the chef a couple of tricks! She offered me a table hopping job at 16 but i declined for personal reasons! So yeah. Start doing magic EVERYWHERE... eventually you will meet contacts and they will talk about hiring you. Make sure to keep in touch and whenever you see them make sure to bring up that you are still doing magic and are getting much better.

I started working restaurants when I was fifteen, and if anything my age is an advantage. They are impressed by how young I am and my "entrepreneurial" spirit often times. However, while you may only be 15 or 16, its important to act much more mature than that. Be courteous to people, befriend the staff (this one is huge), work even when you don't want to if you said you would, and make sure your performance is good enough to be performing at the restaurant you were thinking of working at. I don't think age is really an issue, I started at 14. As long as you're mature, respectful, and great at magic, age doesn't matter.

i started at 15 and i did just fine. as long as you have enough experience and you got some good tricks up your sleeve youll do fine.

Age has it's pro's a con's. As mentioned, some people will applaud you for performing at your age (if you're good that is) but some won't take you serious.

I worked a variety of events between 15 and 16, I'm now mid-twenties and a full time magician. I stopped "working" when I was younger for about 5 years because of the problems that arise as a young performer. I suggest taking baby steps, you have all the time in the world. You don't even know who you are yet.
