I have had many other hobbys.

most of them were card games.

I realized that teams strated to be put together.

Me and My friend started a team for magic.

I find it a really good way to advance your magic faster.

here a re a few reasons why.

1 .If you hang out with people better then you, you pick up a lot of stuff you did not know before.

2. Tricks you been working on do not only have one mind now, but around 5.
This means tricks get created faster, so do flourishes.

3. If you were to go out and do Street magic, you would Always have someone to Film, if needed.

4. brainstorming with around five people is a great way to come up with new tricks and flourishes.

5. you will always have someone to practice on, that can tell you that you messed up, or try self created stuff.

6. if you are in a money situation but a new DVD or book just came out you wanted to get, there are people to burrow money from.


Im sure there are LOTS LOTS more advanteges to working in a team rather as a single assasin of minds.

Anywyas we been running a team, and its been going really really good.

were coming up with tricks and flourishes non stop.

thats really cool that you have friends that like magic/flourishing ... but i dont have anyone ... even tho i live in California - USA ..... no body likes to practice the art around my area ..... so if someone is interested he/she can add me on MSN.

I don't think I could get a team, I live in Connecticut and haven't seen any magicians (except for one old guy doing magic for kids at the town hall). It'd be nice to find someone to hang with atleast, oh and if anyone on the forums lives in Connecticut PM me.

Meh, I wish I knew someone else who was into either art: Magic or Cardistry.

I live in Fresno, CA and have only met one other magician in my seven years of interest. He's not that good, and rather older than me.

Ok, here this is for the people who dont know other magicinas around their area we can make an online team O_O, communicating thru PM's, MSN, MySpace, etc.

We wont reveal crap but we can share ideas for new tricks/flourishes, etc.

Meets with other magicians are a great way of forwarding your knowledge and skill, and playing with new things also. I think it can be much better than a local magic circle or whatever.

Here in Nottingham (any one around feel free to pm) I'm lucky enough to have a couple of really good pro's and enthusiasts floating around that I've met over the years.

I was a member of a local magic circle for maybe 6 months - It was pretty dire, lectures on kids magic and people teaching stuff like professor's nightmare, etc... Though I met 1 or 2 great guys who I now meet up with once or twice every few months for a session. It's really good fun, an evening out and a chance to sit in some bar somewhere in a group playing with cards... Awesome.
