I know this might be off topic here, but i wanted to ask how do some of you edit the videos that you submit in the media section. I am using a mac and if someone could help me or tell me a name of a program that i could get, i would really appreciate it:)

Macs come with a great free program already installed called iMovie. It works great and best of all is free! :)

If your using Leopard, then you have iMovie 08 which is very basic editing.
I would go to apple.com/downloads and download iMovie HD which has ALOT more effects and stuff for better editing.
If you wanna dish out some cash, you can always go for Final Cut Pro but thats extremely expensive.
Adobe Premiere is another paid program that is excellent.

But you said you wanted to slow down effects, iMovie HD does this.

CardGuy, you stole the words out of my mou... er... keyboard.

If you have iMovie '08 on your Mac (like me), then you can get a free download of iMovie HD.

If you want to move past iMovie, but don't want to pay out of the mouth, Final Cut Express is a great software. I use it, and it suits all my needs.

Basically, it's a simplified version of Final Cut Pro, making it better for average consumers and filmmakers. You can do everything you can in iMovie, plus so much more.

If you feel that you're ready to move on, and are up to the challenge of learning how to use FCE, definitely go for it.

And For Pc... Wich Software Can i Use for Free?

If your using Vista...
Movie Maker is basic yes, but if you check online they have TONS AND TONS of add-ons/hacks that can make it do some amazing things. I mean amazing things you would have never thought possible with Movie Maker.
Movie Maker XP is the same but i find more of the stuff worked with Vista.
I have a PC i use once and awhile for certain things and i really dont mind using Movie Maker as opposed to iMovie because of all the wonderful add-ons/hacks there are if you just look online.
