Weird Halloween Magic?

Well, to break it to you, it wasn't creepy nor scary or entertaining. I can only say that in the best way I can. The plot line looks like it was thrown together in 10 minutes and the environment didn't make it creepy. To make a creepy video, you HAVE to have the proper environment, otherwise, it doesn't fit and it just looks weird. I'm participating in the Dan and Dave Halloween Contest at the moment and have learned a lot about making things look eerie and creepy. You might want to check that out on their website under the news section. Research scary elements, watch scary movies, study them, and learn from it. The video I am working on now contains elements that I have researched and studied; it takes effort to produce a quality horror/scary video.
When you put in a lot of effort, you get a lot of return. This rule applies to everything, such as practicing your tricks, flourishes, or everyday activities. The same rules apply, you just have to put in the time. Hope this helps.

yes casey it wasnt meant to be scarry funny or entertaining i was bored so i came up withit in a week i thought it over its doesnt look to great cause i was rushing to enter mismaggs contest but i couldnt i was late and my internet was down and i spilt food colouring on the granite....
Well if it didn't match your expectations, you aren't going to win and you shouldn't have entered because of it. I'm just saying it like it is. Also, entering a contest for a guy who reveals magic for a living isn't great either. Get away from "MisMag" and his tricks that he gives different names to avoid being slammed (not like he doesn't get slammed anyways). I used to enter the contest to get free decks, but it isn't worth it at all. You can earn the money to get new decks by doing magic. It's as simple as that.

I don't think you're getting what I'm saying. He isn't a magician in the first place. He reveals tricks created by other magicians and gives them different names to make others feel like he isn't cheating anyone. He is teaching material for free when the creators could be earning a profit from it. The tens of thousands of people who watch his videos are how many sales a creator loses. Think about it. Revealing magic isn't right unless it's from the creator himself.
If you are serious about magic, please get away from mismag and start hitting the books and supporting the creators. No supporting revealing magic for free over YouTube bulls&^%. It's ruining magic and cheating the creator from a living.

I'm afraid that I may never get back that two minutes of my life that I wasted on your video.
I applaud your efforts for trying... but that's about all I can do for you. This wasn't entertaining... it wasn't even scary. To be brutally honest, it wasn't even magic. You told a story using cards... and then you stabbed one that had a blood pack hidden behind it from the very beginning. okay... there's no reason for anything being used, and then you threatened me at the end of the video to subscribe or else I may get stabbed like the jacks did.
I wish I could say something like, tweak this handling, or improve that patter... but this just was over all a bad production. Maybe go back to the drawing board and rethink things? So man, just not doing it for me on this one.

This sounds more like to me, you back peddling trying to cover your own rear because you made a bad vid, and got called out on it. You know what? Real magicians just do the adult thing, suck it up and take it. Or if you think that video really is so good, then you need to defend your position instead of folding like a house of cards.

Since you have stated that it was all a "test" Now I can say that I have even less respect for you, to the point where I can actually say I don't like you.
